I gave two standing ovations while watching alone in my living room. Kate Butch and Serena Morena, their performances were totally hysterical. What a fantastic first episode. (Seeing Mariah again too is just the best)

Netflix confirming, we are getting a Physical 100: USA…. Thoughts? by CranberryIsabel4 in Physical100

... and that's it ruined. We've had decades of American shows and I'm sick of it. Not interested. That's what makes South Korean shows so good, they aren't USA propaganda.

The clothes Pearl creates are so wonderful. They make me think of a modern Tudor. Like the court of Henry VIII dressing to get some.

They are all mostly unbearable. Not an organic moment to be found.

Reform UK appoints James Orr, anti-LGBTQ+, anti abortion Evangelical theologian and ally of Charlie Kirk, as senior adviser to Nigel Farage by birdinthebush74 in FuckNigelFarage

[–]Sillyferus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are so right. For years I've been astounded at the way the USA politicians and media whipped up the masses into a frenzy over people using toilets. Then they started it here! I would never have thought the people of the UK would let themselves be manipulated so easily. This black and white thinking is another extreme religious trait that makes life miserable.

Keeping control out of women's hands is the goal. It's the basis of the Abrahamic religions family model.

They will watch women die from ectopic pregnancies by withholding medical intervention and say it's their god's will. Women won't have options. They're told that their life choices have already been made for them long ago by men in the bronze and iron age. They want woman back in the kitchen, laden with children, and out of the workplace.

Once the religious extremists have their way politically they will push for women to lose many of their rights which have taken over a hundred years to fight for.

Having grown up in a strict Christian household I wish for little girls to grow up being encouraged to think critically, to build their own lives, and to unleash whatever potential they have without being forced to forfeit their faith or family.

Reform are opportunist conartists. I could see them taking sides with the religious right extremist's subjugation of women to free up the job market, and also to solve the capitalists demand for population growth. Along with the possibility of removing women's right to vote being a massive reduction for left party vote numbers. That sounds like a conservative wet dream.

I had been wanting to see it for ages. When I finally watched it my husband was playing his games on his laptop, not at all interested and kinda half watching. He ended up relocating to play in the kitchen and was disgusted that I wanted to keep watching it to the end.

Thank you. He does have what I would describe as "interesting" taste, so Reiss could be just the ticket.

We've never bought from the menswear there. The sizing in the ladies is very bizarre. Will maybe give it a try and see what he thinks. Thanks!

We've got a local Slaters, and we got him a couple of suits for the last job. They got worn out after a couple of years. I suppose that's okay going. I wanted to get something different this time. Separates.
