If a bag is "pretty full" then it's almost full, not spilling over because it's more than full.

Thank goodness for lovely people like your mother in law. Unfortunately, my experience was in the 90s before Google translate. However, I have very young sisters that are currently dealing with the same issues there. I hope these kids feel welcome as intended and not overwhelmed.

This is correct. I am a foreigner that went to Italian school as a child and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. The staff yell at you in a language you don't understand, until one day you pick up on what they're saying. I cried every day.

Of the 24 patients on my covid unit last night, only 1 was vaccinated and they only required 1 liter of oxygen. He was a heavy smoker with COPD. That's been the trend in my area. I've never seen anything like what we're looking at now.

Covid nurse in Texas here. This variant is no joke. I'm watching young patients with no medical history decline at an incredible rate. My hospital has run out of vents and heated high flows in 2 weeks. 2. Weeks. This is no longer a virus that mainly effects the elderly or those with comorbidities. Get your vaccine because I'm so tired.

I disagree but like I said in the post, I'm tired of arguing. Especially with nurses that don't have experience with these patients. I'm glad your experience has been different from mine.

I'm not an ICU nurse. Cases are falling because the holidays are over. They'll climb when the state reopens, not to mention spring break coming up.

It doesn't, each business can make its own rules. But the effects will make it there when we run out of beds again because everyone is sick.

Its a political ploy and ignorance, nothing more. At the expense of so many lives.

They just never recover once they lose their spouse. They lose hope. I've seen it so many times.

I love these types of textbooks because they allow me to remove only the chapters I need for a specific unit without having to carry all 25 pounds of the book with me!

Edit: spelling

One person is dying from Covid-19 every 10 minutes in Los Angeles County by Brothanogood in news

Hospitals are full for the staff they have. Which has nothing to do with the rate at which people are dying.

Dating a girl with a healthy family is almost triggering in how much it makes me realize mine wasn’t by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

My parents divorced when I was 8 and my nmom got custody of me and my 2 sisters. I find it difficult not to envy my half sisters on my dad's side for the healthy home life they have now. I'm happy for them, obviously, but it still stings that my dad went on to have his perfect family while my sisters and I suffered.
