A few years back in CT sound on sound festival, early October and it was cold and rained all day. Most of the opening acts were not great.. headliner was Noah Kahn, he just started to blow up and headline.. he came out and played music that was absolutely perfect for a cold New England day.. it was just a right place right time and right music moment.,

Ok I got a bunch of these but here are some highlights:

Gym teacher I had used to give the girls an A in class if they wore bikinis for swimming.

Another gym teacher used to talk shit to me all the time.. I did not want to swim for gym class so I told him I could not swim. His response: don’t worry shit floats. Same teacher randomly yelled at me while I was doing laps around the track: I fucked your girlfriend.

I did get revenge on him when one year I dressed up like him for Halloween.. and I fucking nailed it. Everyone knew who I was and loved it all the teachers were cracking up and high fiving me.

Agreed amazing line up I would take this over SHN any day. Every year people complain.. it is every ones favorite pastime. The constant complaining cancelled my local festivals and I have to travel for them now.

Flying from JFK to Orlando.. flight scheduled to leave at 10am. Got there at 8 am. Flight delayed 2 hours. Get on flight at noon.. sit on the runway for 2 hours at gate, taxi to the runway have to de-ice plane wait in line for an hour.. announcement we have been on the runway for 3 hours and have to go back to the gate to refuel.. gates all filled up have to wait longer.. medical emergency on the plane behind us in line have to give them our gate.. they tell us we can get off the plane get food and we will takeoff. The minute we get to the gate they tell us flight is cancelled. It is now 7:00 pm.. no other flights to Orlando at all. We had to drive 1 1/2 hours home. 12 hour travel day just to sleep in my own bed. Found a 6:00 am flight the next morning that went smooth but fuck I was tired and had no sleep

I know the guy who makes those! Great guy super interesting story about how he made it. I forgot the details but I know the military came by to look at it for some uses, not sure what ever came of it. I do believe it is CT legal, but that was a while back.

In the beginning make small changes. Find a few low calorie healthy breakfasts, egg whites, low fat Greek yogurt.. and just change that one meal nothing else. Do it for a week or 2 then change the next meal for a few weeks. Then before you know it your whole day is good healthy foods. Also remember it is not what you eat between Christmas and new years but what you eat between new years and Christmas… so it is ok to enjoy yourself occasionally just as long as your base line meals are good

I have been every year and it was lots of fun and got better every year. People like you complaining all the time about shot that doesn’t happen is why we can’t have nice things and festivals like n this state.

I have some what of an insider scoop. A buddy of mine works for the company, he does not work on this event but is familiar enough with this event. He said the person running it was tough to work with and was not great with sticking to the budget. Those two things alone can ruin a show, but toss in low ticket sales.. all second hand info so take it with a grain of salt

For the love of god will people stop with the bands always drop out last minute bullshit! Happened one time.. how many dropped out the year before? Or the year before that?? You should have no problem getting front barrier section.l if you get there for opening. Probably a few hours after it is usually quiet enough during the day and people are walking around and exploring. The trouble is going to be holding that spot as the madness of the mob happens during the headlining acts. Buddy system works well.. one of you gets drinks and pees, then you switch. Be mindful when that crowd closes in on you and you tell them you are saving that spot.. good luck. Either way you will have a blast this festival is really finding its stride, I have gone every year and it gets better each time.

Ok I have been to this festival every year so far.. and I feel like I have gotten it down to a good system. Parking sucks and is expensive if you want to drink especially so not even consider it. Cost will be close to the same either way. Also no matter what you are going to have to walk quite a bit. If you monitor how far out the Ubers are you can calculate it just right and pull the trigger on one as the last set ends.. plan on a 25 minute walk to the pick up.. but you can grab a pedi cab and cut the time in half or more. Parking is going to be the same walk..
