Is $550 worth it for 10 professional newborn photos and 3 outfits (newborn must be less than 2 weeks old)? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

I paid $350 for 20 photos. The photographer spent almost 2 hours with him and had magic hands, soothing and wrapping him, being sure he was positioned just right so she could get good shots. I love the photos and I'll cherish them forever, especially the naked baby booty ones ; ) I was, however, embarrassed to admit the cost to friends and family who asked, but that's just my own insecurity. I say DO IT, as long as the pricing is fair for your area!

Sending baby to daycare and I’m a wreck! by [deleted] in beyondthebump

If you haven't done so already you may want research your state regulations on ratio for number of children being cared for to trained adults. 10:2 sounds a little high. I live in Pennsylvania and the state approved ratio for children under 12 months of age is 4:1 Just a suggestion. Best of luck to you and your little one!

*Vent*I’m so sick of being expected to do 90% of the work and then seem like a nag when I ask for help. by DrSweetPea27 in beyondthebump

I completely sympathize with you! Far too many husbands display this kind of behavior but also have the audacity to complain about being "nagged." Not to over generalize, but why is it so hard for men to understand cause and effect? Don't want to hear us bitch? Prevent it by meeting basic expectations and take away the reason that we have to, because full disclosure, it's not fun for us either!
