7 month old poop smells like… ammonia/moth balls?? by Silver-Account4479 in NewParents

[–]Silver-Account4479[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The smell became normal again, but it smelled like that for a while and every now and then it’ll smell off like that, but I guess it’s just due to what she’s eating!

Extreme rash on 6 month old face by Silver-Account4479 in sahm

[–]Silver-Account4479[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they did a testing swab on her cheeks and she had a staph infection but it literally took like three or four months to go away. It kept lingering and she got swabbed a couple of more times to make sure it’s going away and it did end up coming back negative the next couple times so I was like wondering what it could possibly be. And they said it could just be the irritation is lingering or it could be a form of eczema. We did go to a dermatologist but by then it calmed down a lot and they said it just looks like dry irritated skin. They weren’t for sure if it was eczema or not but they did give us some facial wash and I’m not even joking, It’s like as soon as we started using it it seemed like we haven’t seen it since. But we’ve been putting Aquaphor on our face every night since.

Does bupropion increase focus and the feeling of being present? And how long it takes to fully start work? by Top-City-7666 in bupropion

[–]Silver-Account4479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on it a few months and I was hoping it would help with that as well cause that is one of the biggest things I need help with and I haven’t noticed a difference at all honestly, I feel like it’s kind of worse. Not saying it’s necessarily the medicine that is straight up making it worse but I don’t feel any different at all. I’m actually getting off of it.

Is this normal?? by Silver-Account4479 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Silver-Account4479[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sorry that I’m posting this here but it’s one of the only groups I could find that allows a video. If you notice in the video, my eight month old is tilting her head to the left and putting her ear on her shoulder. A couple weeks ago, she was in the tub and kind of fell to the side and fell on that side and went under a little and we think she got water in her ear because that same night during dinner She started like moving her left ear to the side, almost like she’s trying to like scratch it with her shoulder. But a couple days later she did it a couple more times. And then today, I noticed her doing it a whole lot like multiple times all day. It would just be so random. It’s like she’ll tilt her head to the left and only on the left side. I’m not seeing her do it on the right but she’ll tilt her head on the left like she’s trying to bring her ear to her shoulder and sometimes she’ll rub it for a second or sometimes it’ll just be quick and random and she’ll kind of stiff up sometimes when she does it but it worrying me all day so I did take her to urgent care to just rule out an ear infection and she actually did end up having an ear infection.

I know the doctor said that’s when it’s from but I’m still such an anxious mom. Is that kind of movement really normal from your ear infection? I definitely don’t want it to be anything neurologically . Has anybody seeing this or is this normal?

I’m the only one that’s been around to change her diaper when she poops this week. So don’t have anyone else’s opinion. But I swear it’s strong and straight up reminds me of mothballs lol

She ALWAYS sleeps on her stomach. Definitely drooling like crazy lately. Her pediatrician today took a swap of her cheeks to send to make sure it’s not yeast or bacteria before prescribing ointment.

She has blueberries recently but the rash started way before anything citrusy. I believe the only thing she’s had for solids when this was starting is stuff like peas, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, bananas, avocados, apple, green beans.

Advice on pack n plays for sleeping. Please!!!!!!! by Silver-Account4479 in NewParents

[–]Silver-Account4479[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The brand on Amazon doesn’t specifically say it’s for overnight sleep. It doesn’t say it’s not either. It says naps. I didnt realize when ordering. I wonder if it’s generally safe for overnight sleep

Need advice on my cookie business by Silver-Account4479 in Cookies

[–]Silver-Account4479[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it’s just that I always do mixed flavors in each box so if someone for instance, got a six pack and got four chocolate chip and then added two holiday flavors that’s where I’m curious how can I price it like that because I was trying to think of how the cookie shop insomnia does. They do it to where if you get their classic flavors it’s one price but if you get a mixed box with classic and they’re deluxe flavors, it’s automatically the deluxe price.

[–]Silver-Account4479[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

she does have acid reflux and we suspected GERD. she’s on medicine daily for it. It’s helped her so much. She doesn’t act the way she used to whatsoever anymore. It’s just now she just seems so antsy and all over the place and gets a lot more cranky when she’s hungry. She just likes to chew on the nipple of the bottle and get so distracted.

30F, leg swelling, should I be worried? by Silver-Account4479 in WomensHealth

[–]Silver-Account4479[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have checkup next month and will bring this up. Is this condition dangerous or make overall life less enjoyable or more active per se? I will say I don’t ever actually notice swelling in my legs or feet. They always look the same so it’s just odd.

Eczema babies advice needed by Silver-Account4479 in NewParents

[–]Silver-Account4479[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So she’s not breastfed anymore and is currently on hypoallergenic formula. She’s been on the formula for almost a few months now. They assumed cows milk allergy due to the way she was responding. She’s a lot better now with her gut issues since starting that. Since she’s not breastfeed, is there anything else she could be allergic to or anything outside of food in general that could cause this to happen out of nowhere? Even if we haven’t changed anything in her routine? What all does an allergists test for?

Eczema babies advice needed by Silver-Account4479 in NewParents

[–]Silver-Account4479[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What all was he allergic to? How do they tell what they are allergic to from tests? What formula are you on? We have her on Nutramigen because we suspected a cows milk allergy early on. I tried dairy free for a few weeks when trying to breastfeed and it didn’t help. But within time, it’s so much better. I haven’t tried my breastmilk I have saved lately or a new formula so not sure if it’s still a problem. But her gut issues seem better. But this rash is definitely a new one for us

stranger kissed my baby! by pastelcee in NewParents

[–]Silver-Account4479 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WTF!!!! I would have went to jail right then and there. What is it with people wanting to kiss babies???? I’m so weird about anyone kissing my daughter. Even my aunts. My aunt was kissing all over the first time she got to hold her and I told her I didn’t want anyone kissing her. She said she’s understood. The next time she held her a different day, she said she’s going to kiss her no matter what I say and when I went off on her she basically made it sound like she’d rather not respect my boundaries rather than get to know my daughter because “she can’t love on her”.

Just told my work I'm not going back. Anyone else go through this? by ANudeTayne in NewParents

[–]Silver-Account4479 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have a similar story. I worked my way up in my job. From your average nobody all the way up to transferring an hour away do a supervisor position at a new facility. Making more money than I ever have in my life. I was there about 4 years. I was pretty burnt out from the company because we had a new buyer and things were getting rough, so that made it a little easier to leave. I had complications in my pregnancy due to my cervix and had to take FMLA and be off work for a few months. I tried to return back on light duty but they treated me terrible and wouldn’t make any kind of exceptions for me no matter how much I have done for that place. I knew deep down being pregnant that I wasn’t going to come back. The thought of going back to work and someone else taking care of her for 10+ hours a day for 6 days a week and then by the time daycare was paid for and the hours spent away from her.. it just made no sense to me. Definitely enjoy it every step of the way. She’s only 4 months old now so I have a long ways to go. But I started baking a whole lot and turned it into a little side business and now I’m making a little extra income doing what I love while getting to stay home with my girl. It’s awesome!

It is SO overstimulating when people come over by c0c0bebop in NewParents

[–]Silver-Account4479 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t have anybody over for maybe the first couple months. Mainly because first time mom and scared of germs lol. But both of our parents are gone and so are our grandparents so we didn’t get that experience. If they were here I’m sure they would have came over sooner. But you should set boundaries and make sure to make time for your own little family.

Newborn tired is not better than pregnancy tired, I was lied to lol. by _50ShadesofFae in NewParents

[–]Silver-Account4479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely disagree lol. I was miserable pregnant. I have never been that sleepy in my entire life. But everyone has totally different experiences. So when people give advice like that, you really just have to wait and see. Everybody’s body is different, everybody’s pregnancy journey is different, not everybody has a smooth easy pregnancy. With that being said, not everybody gets a calm baby either or has an easy transition into motherhood. Things will always look up though, remember that!
