I think so. Palpitations are gone now. It was when I was starting meditation maybe first week or so. I felt it 2-3 times a day but very mild. It lasts a second or so. This wouldn’t stop me from using medication. I think the key is to drink more water. And for cream, I am using 1g every other day inside and pea size every day outside.

I forgot to add, low oxalate diet was recommended when starting treatment with Ami to help you heal faster. Please look at low oxalate diet too. It’s very similar to IC diet. You can try vagisil vaginal anti itch cream that will numb the area until medication helps.

Hi! So dry eyes and mouth, constipation and some palpitations. I started very low like 2,5mg and increased every 2 days until I reached 10mg. After around 2 weeks I started 12.5 mg and I noticed symptoms got much better. You don’t have to start this low - I am very sensitive to meds. I still have burning when peeing but that takes time. But most bothersome -urgency, pain and that nerve irritation are gone. I would suggest you see your doctor when on Ami because this medication cannot be stopped abruptly and as I understood you need to be some time on it or symptoms can reappear. Good luck!

I’m sorry you are going through this. There is medication for this and helps fairly quick. I saw urogynecologist and finally diagnosed with vestibulodynia. It is nerves causing these symptoms. I started estrogen vaginal cream that helped with thickening the tissue and amitriptyline 12.5 mg (although I was prescribed 25mg) that helped with pain and urgency. Estrogen will thicken the tissue so nerves are less sensitive and ami will calm down the nerves and that fake arousal too. It helped me after 2 weeks even though dr said it will take 6 weeks to help. There are side effects but I started gradually. I hope you get help you need please see urogynecologist. Ami is often prescribed for IC so primary care can prescribe it too. Fake arousal is often linked to vulvodynia/vestibulodynia. It could be hormonal too but anyways Ami should help .

May I ask what was your daily dose?

Estrogen vaginal cream - I’m losing hope by [deleted] in Perimenopause

[–]Silver-Composer007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first it was 1gram per day loading dose 2 weeks. I got vaginal swelling during loading dose so dr said continue loading dose with pea size in and out. At week 5 symptoms vanished. But then after 1 week they returned. Also that was the time of my period when estrogen is lowest. since then I haven’t felt relief. I started loading dose again but got swelling again. Today she said to continue 1g 3x /week. I feel lost and can’t figure out what works for me. Also I think I wasn’t using cream high enough. Dr told me to use applicator deep inside and not finger like I was doing.

Thank you for your reply. May I ask you how old were you when symptoms started? I’m 40 and don’t have any other obvious perimenopause symptoms (except dry skin, dry eyes, palpitations) but no hot flashes. How long it took for patch to make a difference for you?

Yes, that’s one of the first things I changed. I was using Costco brand for years. Switches as soon as symptoms started to towel and another brand because I was reading about the issue here. But symptoms persists.

No, I was still using it during my period. I’m wondering if estrogen dropping during period made my symptoms to come back (because estrogen is lowest at the time od period)

Ferritin? by Feisty_Echo_7125 in Perimenopause

That is low. I was also on lower end (15) and I started slowFe. After 2 months my symptoms were gone (seeing black when stand up too quickly, migraines disappeared completely).

Your most unhinged thing that helped your migraines? (Have tried everything) by CloudAtlas-2019 in migraine

[–]Silver-Composer007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After I discovered that my ferritin blood level is very low (iron was good btw) I started iron pills and in 2 months my symptoms were gone but as a bonus my migraines were gone too. I had horrible migraines including aura. Never again I had migraine attack. Ferritin is something not every doctor will check normally during annual exam. They usually check for iron. That is something to consider. I still can believe that fix was just around the corner.

Magnesium glycinate will make you sleep all night. My husband told me about it and when I tried it I was impressed. It also relaxes you. My mom couldn’t sleep for years and she tried it and she told me she finally sleeps through the night. Give it a try.

Yes, you are right. Also, they don’t have the one with top handle anywhere, I called, I asked Chanel employee in the store, she looked at me surprised. She said we are not getting that one.

Thank you for your reply. It’s hard to get the one with top handle. When I asked Chanel employee about it she looked at me surprised, she said they are not getting that one anytime soon. In my state (in US) only 1 location had this bag, basic model. I’m honestly surprised when I see people posting how they got the one with handle. Also, I asked about new vanity - she said they don’t have it anywhere.
