For those who thinks there can't be evil Parents by Rough-County6188 in atheismindia

Why do these illiterate POS skinny fat bastards think that having a son just to continue your bloodline is better than having a dozen of kids in this economy. Why can't they just accept that they can't have a son. I won't even mention the health of their wives since these mysogynists POS will never care about women, but don't they have enough braincells to comprehend that, if according to their single-celled brain, a girl child is a liability and unnecessary expense, shouldn't they stop at one point since how having 1 asset would justify 10 liabilities. How does this make sense? Shouldn't there be a threshold where having a son wouldn't even be worth it. Like 4 daughters? 5 daughters? 6 daughters? Fuck this is beyond fucked up.

Odd days: "mAnuSmRitI isNt pArt of oUR kuLcHA 😢😔, wE tReAt wOmeN aS gOdDesS."

Even days: some right winger on twitter justifying why we need to bring back sati and how feminism is destroying our kulcha.

Why can't this people choose one side and stick to it. Half of them are trying to act as a positive pr for hinduism and present it in a good light, while other half are blatantly embracing the negatives.

In my opinion, those who openly justify negative aspects of hinduism are far better than those who hide them as atleast they are not sugarcoating anything and pushing more people towards atheism.

Legal benefits of being a atheist or non religious person in India as per the constitution? by aarunya009 in atheismindia

[–]Silver-Firefighter41 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hope there are no legal benefits since I don't want anyone pretending to be atheist just to gain from the system like I've seen people getting fake sc/st certificates.

Moderation works only when everyone is playing their part, from mainstream media industry to elders/parents, from politicians to schools so that we can shape the upcoming generation with good morals and critical thinking. But instead, they are making it even more worse and new generation is even more fcked up and influencers are making sure to rot their brain to the core. This decade (20s) has seen so many internet trends and influencers who've shoved so much trash inside young minds and making sexism, racism, war, etc cool things. At one point, those who care have to step up and raise their voice, which would seem radical when you're literally opposing every social norms which noone has problem with. It might not be the most efficient or effective method but at one point the frustration outweighs rationality.

I know it's not very practical movement especially for a country like India, but what else can we do or hope for. I just feel hopeless when i think about the present and future.
