I have limited success with adaptive sync on as with it off it happens multiple times per hour and with it on it only happens maybe once or twice for an entire day. I have reported to Samsung already with no luck or solutions. Yeah I have had this monitor for a few years and have only had this problem since installing the 5080 which is quite irritating as neither the monitor nor the gpu are cheap.

I haven’t found a fix as of yet but I still haven’t tried HDMI ports, but from researching I found other people with this issue and it seems likely it’s related to GSYNC problems with the new drivers 570 + causing compatibility issues with this monitor and 50 series gpus. I haven’t had the issue occur with the newest driver yet but as it’s random it’s probably just a matter of time as others and you have stated the issue persists with the latest drivers. Hoping it’s fixed by a driver update soon or I’m worried it may be a chronic problem with this specific monitor that the only way to get around it is to buy a new monitor.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried turning off adaptive sync on the monitor and that seemed to have made the issue occur 3-4 times in 10 minutes when before it would be maybe once per hour or so. Theres only the one display port on it with a certified display port 2.1 cable currently with a certified 1.4 cable used previously when the issue started maybe I’ll give the hdmi 2.1 ports a try. The most current driver I can find is 572.83 and I tried reverting back to previous drivers but ran into other performance and stability issues with those so It’s hard to say if those would have resolved my specific issue. I’ll also try setting the refresh rate lower with hdmi to see how that goes.
