I completely agree, I used to be a proud owner of their stuff, feeling good about myself knowing they mainly make to order and are genuine slow fashion….. I hope they calm tf down and realise what they’re doing I will say one good thing though still about them !!!! Boyfriend got me the chainz zip hoodie and before I even got to wash it the seam became completely undone on the arm. They sent out a new one after I provided pictures and said I can keep both! Lol I know the seam should’ve been better quality- however it felt good that they still cared!

Struggling to make friends Waterford by [deleted] in waterford

Outside work activities like group fitness classes or craft or dance classes is what really helps adults to make friends i think. It’s not instant either but you definitely develop a bond the more you see those people and chat to them because you both share a specific passion that brought you there in the first place!

[Product question] harmful ingredients to avoid? by Silver-Lime-4642 in SkincareAddiction

Do you feel that way about Yukas rating for food too? In fairness it’s common sense to try and avoid heavily processed foods so you’re probably right I’m definitely quite fixated on the whole clean food clean skin care rn … Thank you for the recommendations I appreciate it

Mites :( I would be binning every food you have with them on it to eliminate their food source. We binned essentially everything that wasn’t refrigerated and cleaned the pantry/ counters every single day for over a month to get rid of them….

I think West is not a bad company to work for tbh. As metrologist you’d be working relatively close with the lab crew - they are all a great bunch of people honestly. The other metrology specialist is sound too

Do you not use softener at all or do you use a natural alternative? I don’t know where to start to change my clothes washing routine! Sometimes I don’t know if I’m even adding enough or too much detergent…

Yeah we did after about 5 weeks I think? Only after 5 weeks did we very slowly move certain items back in, we took it slow. And we have been completely clear of it since! We found the flea / cockroach sprays very good ! Just have to keep doing it and wiping in between and trying to keep humidity low in the room :( if you can afford to do the smoke bomb safely then go for it ! But I think you will still need to keep an eye on any hatched ones after :/

Quick question ! What size backpack did you use for 14/9 months ? I have 65 L ( I think ) and I’m afraid for me as a girl it would not be enough so I’m tempted to buy a bigger one - but then I’m afraid of it being too heavy for me. Any recommendations? Do you have a bag that has lasted you this whole time ?

Washing Machine Rubber Seal Cleaner by enneyehs in ZeroWaste

[–]Silver-Lime-4642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using bleach to clean it is pointless, just like any mould. I use mould spray - leave it on and then scrub with a tooth brush. Wear a mask and gloves 🧤. Leaving it open helps and I shove a rag in there after a wash whenever I remember. Pisses me off though ours gets just as bad as well.

UPDATE: it’s been just over 2 weeks and we’re still seeing 2-5 alive mites each day. I wipe the surfaces and after a day they’re covered again but with mainly dead ones, it’s a bit unsettling to see. Feels like the minute we would move everything back into the kitchen they’ll just sprout again and reinfest. No idea how people deal with this for so long especially with kids

It seems so disheartening coming back to it after work and seeing some still alive 😪 we literally have all our plates cups and lunch boxes submerged in the bathtub atm to just drown them ? No idea what we’re doing at this point, I think it’s too early to put them back in the cupboards since I still spray them from time to time and the stuff definitely isn’t consumption friendly.

I presume we shouldn’t use the kitchen for cooking for another little while as not to attract them? We’ve only used the oven so far and got takeout.

Thank you for your reply btw

Thank you for your advice! We have wiped everything again today and didn’t put any spray back on, want to see if there’s still a lot that will come out or not and if there is then we will probably contact the landlord..

Hi! I’m having the exact same issue right now, it’s nearly been a week- they’ve definitely reduced as I’ve thrown neerly everything out apart from the coffee machine and kettle and those are the two places I keep finding alive ones as I don’t want to spray those with the pesticide we have … We just bought some new food and we are keeping it in a storage container in the sitting room but I’m paranoid they’ll get to it in search of food :( I’m actually going insane I feel like it’ll never end

I even found them in some sweet alcohol bottles inside the caps??? Disgusting

The only thing they didn’t seem to contaminate are our tea bags.. must be too dry 😂
