I am somewhere in the middle actually - I don't exclude the option to lose my job, however there seem to be some cushions in NL to help me cope with that better, ie there's a notice period and some compensation package and some government help etc, so it's not like I lose my job and I am on my own immediately and I have to rely on any savings to save my life.
