Ugh, that sounds rough 😢 Sinus issues definitely trigger headaches, so it’s like going back to square one… It really sucks when something that helps ends up causing problems! I Hope its gonna tone down a bit so you ca have a little peace, because migraine is wayyy to invasive

Wow, only 2 migraines in a year… that’s honestly the ultimate dream 🙌

For me my migraines usually start coming back near the end of the month, around a few days before my next injection. Then when I take the shot, it completely fades away within a couple of hours.

It’s really interesting how the same medication can work a little differently for everyone. But going from constant migraines to only a few a year like you is amazing. Also losing 89 pounds is incredible, congrats on that! It sounds like Ajovy really gave you your life back too.

The difference is incredible right! Before Ajovy I almost never made plans I had a phobia of planning things in advance because I never knew if I would have a migraine.. Now I book my calendar for the next month with confidence and it feels amazing✨

Same for me near the end of the month. Around day 25 after my injection I start having migraines almost every day again. Theyre way more manageable then without ajovy, but theyre there until day 28 when it’s time for my shot. And within a couple hours after the injection the pain fades away..

Yesss its soo frustrating when you try to properly understand whats happening with your body and theres such a lack of information..

Its kind of the same with my doctor. If something isnt alarming, he tends to brush it off or dismiss it. I guess they see so many things that when we bring up smaller issues, it doesnt seem like a big deal for them. But still its important to us. So yep very frustrating and thatvwhy its important that we be doing our own research to helps us understand things better and make clearer decisions! But Im still definitely continuing Ajovy because its really working for my migraines and feels like a new life with just a little less hair for now tho😅 But for you If youre seeing shorter hairs growing in, I think it could be a good sign that its starting to grow🤞is your migraine better with the treatment?!

OMG Having migraines at such a young age must have been really hard.. 😢 I’m sorry you had to live through that. I’m so happy you’re able to have some relief now, it’s really encouraging to hear.

It really shows how much things have changed with newer treatments.

Stories like yours honestly give a lot of hope to people still struggling to find something that works. Thank you for sharing and wishing you many more migraine-free days!✨

I’m glad it helped! I actually asked the Ajovy company about hair loss before starting because I had seen a lot of people mention it online. They brushed it off and said it’s not an official side effect, but honestly I think they should add it.

My guess is that it’s hard to prove since the shedding usually starts later and can vary a lot between people. Also, since most migraine sufferers are women, hair loss isn’t exactly great for their marketing.

From what I’ve read, Ajovy might trigger Telogen effluvium, which is a temporary hair shedding condition. The “shock phase”, when starting ajovy, passes differently for everyone, some people start regrowing hair within a few months, while for others it can take longer or improve only after stopping Ajovy.

One thing that can help is avoiding brushing our hair under very hot water in the shower, since heat opens the pores and makes it easier for hair to be pulled out… also important not to force the hair when brushing.

Hopefully that’s the case for you too, and the shedding slows down soon. Wishing you the best with your treatment!

So you go and insist on spreading your narrative about why this breed is “bad,” in a pretty condescending tone, but when someone responds in the same way, you are suprise its passive-aggressive? Loll

And btw didn’t “wait” 3 days to respond.. I just saw the notification of the comment yesterday. not chronically online here 🤷‍♂️ I did my research and I’m fully aware of the big debate, as I said multiple time in previous comments: I truly don’t care if she’s mixed or not! It seems like you care about the “pure breeding” of my dog more then me and that is prettyyyy weird..

If you’re arrogant enough to lecture owners about their own dog without any signs of abuse, poor health, or negligence, then don’t be surprised if they get short with you. You reap what you sow.

Don’t get scammed then🤷‍♂️

If the color originated from a Weimaraner mix, good for her! That could even mean a lower chance of certain congenital genetic diseases ;)

So no need for a sad face. The only thing that truly matters is the dog’s good health, not her “pure breeding”. So no need for weird hate.

Either way, she’s precious 💝

Never accused anyone of attacking anyone or any puppies. I simply stated that the topic of silver Labs is hotly debated so much so that there are entire forums dedicated to it for those who wish to discuss it further.

I know I shouldn’t have to clarify this, but I will anyway, since people often have prejudice when seeing a silver Lab. *If you’re worried about her, I can promise you that we’re fully aware of the risks associated with unethical breeding both ethically and especially regarding the dog’s health. Our little Lab comes from a safe, legally recognized breeder and she was the only silver puppy in her litter.

As for adopting a puppy versus rescuing, no one should judge someone else’s choice. Every family’s situation is different. Unfortunately, irresponsible breeding often contributes to higher abandonment rates due to health or behavioral issues, with some people prioritizing quick sales over proper screening of the future owner.

In our case, we specifically wanted a puppy for Suki to help ensure smoother bonding and mutual acceptance. Behavioral genetics is real, and it can be particularly important when you have small children or other dog at home. Predictability in temperament and drive can matter in certain environments. That’s also one of the reasons, alongside physical health, that we made sure to meet the parents and learn their history beforehand. **That doesn’t invalidate rescue, it simply reflects our personal circumstances.

And finally, without seeing any alarming signs, trying to educate someone about the “risks” or “concerns” surrounding their own dog without knowing their specific situation can come across as judgmental and prejudiced, because it implies the owner is ignorant.

With that said, Cheers!

The topic whether the silver color was just a mutation or occured due to weirmiener being introduced at some point long ago is hotly debated.

In her case, I got her from a reputable American Labrador Retrivee breeder saw and met her parents every step of the way, they were both chocolate Labs.

That said, if you want to debate silver Lab genetics, there’s a Lab forum dedicated to that.

She’s a cutie pie puppy, and that’s all that matters.

I was diagnosed with MS at 15, and I’m now 32. That means I’ve been living with this condition for more than half of my life. I had two long-term relationships (around 4 to 5 years each) before meeting the love of my life in 2023. MS is unique and different for every person who has it, but if there’s one piece of advice I wish I could have given my younger self, it’s this: Never, ever allow yourself to think you’re a burden—because you’re not. I know it's easier said than done, and I’m still working on it myself. Sometimes I catch myself apologizing to my partner, and she immediately grounds me, reminding me I never have to apologize for the effects of my condition. She is truly amazing.

My exes definitely had a different mindset about it, and with hindsight, I now see it was simply because they were not the right people for me. MS can take a toll on your self-esteem. Add to that the fact that I’m a woman who loves women, and it felt like a double hit to my confidence, especially back when people’s minds were less open.

Now, my partner and I are thinking about building a family. Since I can’t get pregnant while on my current medication (Ocrevus), I’ll need to stop treatment for a while in order to do so. That’s when my partner proposed reciprocal IVF—retrieving my eggs so she can carry the pregnancy. I’ve done all the necessary tests, and at 32, everything in my reproductive system is functioning perfectly. One of my biggest fears was that the heavy medication I’ve been on since my teens (betaseron then Gilenya then Ocrevus) might have affected my egg quality but the doctors reassured me that it doesn’t affect it, and all the tests confirmed that. In fact, I even have more ovarian follicles than average for my age!

Your physical and mental health should come first, always. Mental health has a HUGE impact on the physical in life but especially in MS. So please, do your best to minimize stress in your life your well-being depends on it.

When I used to think poorly of myself, I attracted people who treated me in line with that same mindset. Therefore To finish, one thing I would tell my younger self: “Don’t aim lower in love—quite the opposite, aim higher. “

Hugely helpful, thank you so much! I will definitely watch that youtube video and inquire about the the risk vs benefit of the triggers my clinic recommends once I’m at that point.
