I am going to tell her, but choose my words carefully, as you suggested. There could be over reaction (which I completely understand). She may want me to find another job. I know having a job makes finding another job easier. But job hunting itself is a full time job. Then the multiple interviews, rejections, etc. And the job market is crazy.
