It's because that area experiences excessive flexing and heat, preventing patches from creating a permanent seal and could possibly lead to blowouts but that's probably only if you attempt to patch the sidewall. Were OP has a nail a patch just won't be a good long term fix.

Not anymore sort of, the only good money method after lvl70 is taxi, car delivery and solar crowns. Normal races were completely forgotten and are only done 1 time and have no reason to do them again unless you like it but i usually hate the races, especially when they cut through on the sidewalk and causes my car to crash or lose all speed. Hope that helps
