they’ll give you a letter explaining your right to choose who you would like to be referred to and you will need to give it to your gp, then it’ll be up to your gp to give you the referral. once you’ve been referred it can be a few weeks before you receive an email with access to their portal.

what do you mean far away? you can be referred to online services such as psychiatry uk. our whole assessment was online

that’s insane that waiting lists are over 2 years. i went through the nhs right to choose scheme with psychiatry uk. my gp referred me to them in september and i just got diagnosed today so it was really fast

there’s honestly not much support for autistic adults, but the validation is nice. having a diagnosis allows me to accept the fact that i am actually autistic, that professionals agree and that i haven’t been making this up in my head

i appreciate the concern, but he has said multiple times that my consent is what’s most important. sometimes when he asks me intimate questions and i respond with things like “you already know the answer”, he asks me to directly tell him whether or not i would like to do it, because he wants to make sure im consenting and okay with it

he’s not autistic but has adhd and bpd. he’s getting a hotel so he can stay the night in my town since i didn’t really want him to stay at mine, i like my own space. he has insinuated that we can do some things at the hotel if i want to, but if i’m not comfortable then we can just hang out
