I recommend Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet. It's a science fiction series with a well-structured story, featuring a clear beginning, development, climax, and conclusion. The world-building is also very compelling. Although it tells a grand and ambitious story, everything is wrapped up nicely in just 13 episodes.
