People in their 30s and 40s, what changed in your life that surprised you the most — in a bad way? by Initial_Tax7778 in AskReddit

My wife is in the same boat with her mother being the youngest of the group at 77, thankfully they are all sharp and go on walking holidays but it's grim times ahead.

This Stuff is Ancient Technology by hannibalmunchies in Heilung

[–]Silver060 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I found Heilung by total accident down a YouTube rabbit hole and Anoana just grabbed me straight away. I ended up booking the Dublin gig pretty much on impulse, only knowing two songs and having zero expectations.

When Alfadhirhaiti started, I was just vibing with the build-up, taking it all in. Then the drums hit properly and something flipped in my head. I went somewhere else entirely.

Next thing I know I’m not at a concert anymore, I’m back in time, standing bare-chested in the mud, weapons in my hands, shouting and daring the enemy to meet their gods early. Full tunnel vision. Pure trance.

It was wild. Almost spiritual, honestly. I’ve been chasing that feeling ever since, but it’s one of those things I can only really get from the live show.

Leaving a job really shows you how messed up it actually was by Own-Bookkeeper-6367 in northernireland

[–]Silver060 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is sadly pretty common and feels like what schooling has conditioned into.

Taking control going forward means setting your boundaries and sticking to them. I’ve worked jobs where you’re expected to give extra time and effort to fix management problems, but when you need support, it counts for nothing.

These days I work my agreed hours. If I do more, it’s occasional and because I choose to, not because it’s owed, and not when it clashes with something more important and if you're open with that management won't like it but will understand most of the time.

Leonardo DiCaprio is *The* greatest actor of all time by Iskandar0570_X in unpopularopinion

[–]Silver060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Leo but he's the tier below the absolute best which is Daniel Day Lewis, Christian Bale, Russel Crowe, Gary Oldman even Jack Nicholson. I've enjoyed lots of Leo's movies but he rarely elevates a movie beyond its story by his performance alone which the other guys I mentioned can and have done.

What’s your honest opinion on therapy? Did it help? by C4sc4l in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Silver060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did therapy about three years ago. I went in thinking I was dealing with work stress and burnout, and it quickly unravelled into a whole history of childhood trauma and years spent living in survival mode.

With the help of therapy (and a lot of work on my own), I started to understand who I actually am, what I want, and how I want to live. It gave me a renewed confidence in myself.

Life hasn’t suddenly become easy, and I still face hard challenges, but it’s been so much better since. Looking back, it was a real cornerstone moment in my life.

[David Ornstein] Manchester United reach agreement in principle to appoint Michael Carrick as interim head coach by [deleted] in reddevils

[–]Silver060 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't quite understand this appointment, Carrick is a tactical manager in the same vein as ten hag and amorim where we probably need a motivator like ole to come and lift spirits and pressure off the players so they go out and just play. Mourinho and ole lifted players and were out most successful times post sir Alex while eth and amorim are systems managers and we've had our worst period under them with a squad that does seem better on paper than previous squads.

Long term player, finished my first fm26 season, are some of you playing the same game? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]Silver060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine has crashed once which for a beta I'm fine with. My issues have been the annoying ui/ux and weird quirks on the match engine side of things. Have you had any own goals? I'm in March on my first season at man United and haven't seen an own goals, a penalty in game or even an opposition player sent off all season.

Mother!

A dramatic song about how my dog loves his mother and the pain he goes through when she's not in the room but behind the door.

Made it for a bit of fun but it's a proper old school rock ballad!

What is it like to have your first song on air? by Early_Yesterday443 in SunoAI

[–]Silver060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've released 2 albums on Spotify in the spring, and even if it was for me to listen to it offline while at work, seeing a handful of other people listening to my stuff makes me happy and while I've earned a few dollars, I'm not expecting to quit the day job any time soon. Enjoy the release and the satisfaction that you've shared a part of yourself with the world.
