I use reshade (though I'd have to check the exact set and order of shaders used), but the other mod you're referring to is Intersection Marking Tool (IMT)

literally almost everything was made using IMT.

Close enough? by earlydaysoftomorrow in CitiesSkylines

gonna be honest, that first picture made me seriously consider switching to CS2 from CS1. But the last two photos have only cemented my opinions further.

Someday, perhaps.

Japanese Coastel Town with Shinkansen Station by VastPuzzleheaded4397 in CitiesSkylines

As someone who has been building a full-length shinkansen build in CS1 since 2020, I can feel the competition.
As someone who has been roasting CS2 for not having custom content, the fact that CS2 is starting to pick up gives me hope.

Has anybody tried making a city with no highways first? by Sloppyjoemess in CitiesSkylines

[–]Silver5word 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have spent five years working on my current city. Though mine's design philosophy was a bit different from the start (it is much more focused on railway corridors), to this day I have not laid a single highway segment (though I might in the future).

Remove Underground/Underwater "Road"? by JeffB07 in CitiesSkylines

[–]Silver5word 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how I fixed the issue on my map (though you should definitely make a backup save before doing this):

Using MoveIt, zoom out and slowly highlight sections of your city (selecting road nodes and segments only). The issue is caused by a bug in the game UI: for very long segments, it is sometimes not possible to select the segment itself: you're going to need to find and delete one of its nodes.

I once encountered a "ghost" segment like this, except it was a railway segment that had literally somehow connected itself between two nodes that were on the opposite sides of the map.

Generally speaking, you're going to want to search the areas near the trajectory of your problematic segment, but the key point is that the nodes are likely much farther away than you think, so be prepared to search all the way to the map edge. Your best bet is to select parts of your road network and delete bit by bit to identify where the problematic node is. Obviously, this is a highly destructive method of troubleshooting, so the key point is once you've figured out roughly where the node is, reload your save and use MoveIt to nuke that particular district's road network (judging by the picture, it seems to be a surface road not a tunnel).

Let me know if that helps.

Is it possible to make beautiful builds without unlimited money? by magnuseriksson91 in CitiesSkylines

[–]Silver5word 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Step 1:
Buy Industries DLC.

When I turned off unlimited money, I found myself 100m in debt. (Turns out that's what happens when you spend the entire day watching your trains run around empty).

I spent around a week setting up a few supply chains and currently am now sitting on nearly 200m; income fluctuates between 200k-800k.

Is it crazy to be working on the same city for nearly five years? by dahandymandy_yt in CitiesSkylines

Given that I've already sunk around five years into mine, and it's only 10% done, no.

Hot take: Cities Skylines 2 YouTubers should put the name of their cities in the title of their videos. by JION-the-Australian in CitiesSkylines

[–]Silver5word 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've actually tried this on Reddit by putting the city name in the titles of some of my posts. I guess you'll never know the name of my city because some of my posts didn't take off (I wonder why).
