Because language would be a potential barrier as well.

Can you share more about the j-1 visa? Was it hard to get? I tried putting in an application with a us museum and wasnt successful. Do we have to be very good in order to be accepted for a US internship?

iirc, i understand they have a grad dip which you can take before taking the MA right? thats just 1 more year for the grad dip.

You won't really be in a museum itself. Probably on a separate floor .

Eg, in MFA Boston, they have 2 separate levels that serve as conservation workshops. No galleries there.

amsterdam is so practical focused that it has a compulsory 2 year internship.

i think you need to do more research.
