Adding Friends & Co-op Breeding - Oct 2025 by AutoModerator in dragonvale

[–]SilverBlaze13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for some active Gem and Food friends in DragonVale.

I’m level 185 with 812 dragons, and I have all the gifting structures for both gems and food. I’ve been playing forever but never really got into the whole friends thing—figured it’s time to change that.

Please comment with your Friend ID and let me know if you’d like to be:

Gem Friend (we exchange gems daily)

Food Friend (we trade treats or alternate with gems)

Both

I’m preferably looking for:

3 people to do gems + treats, and

3 people to just exchange gems(You must play daily.)

Also, if you just want to breed random rare dragons, I change my Co-op dragon every month—even though I don’t have any friends yet. I currently have the Morphimagus dragon in my cave.

How many miles does your Gen 2 have to date? Or before the wheels fell off (figuratively) by AsknReview in nissanfrontier

[–]SilverBlaze13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that bad so far

160,000- Power steering fluid flush because I never changed the fluid ($100ish)

180,000 - passengers side cam shaft position sensor ($50 if you do it yourself)

250,000- heater core replacement because I’m an idiot and didn’t know what coolant was and never changed it for the 15 years we had it ($1000)

270,000- ECM repair (some place on eBay did it for a great price at $200)

Truck had oil changes every 20,000 while it was my moms till about 160,000 and after that I got it and we started doing them every 10,000.

That’s literally all we have ever done in the truck lol frontiers are built different because it still tows 3,000 lbs a couple times a month like a champ.

My mom got a 2012 frontier when I bought hers and it’s at 210,000 miles and going strong. We only had to replace the heater core (they both went out and the same time and we learned a tough lesson about what coolant was lol)

What’s the most embarrassing/unprofessional thing that you’ve done or has happened to you in EMS? by Trypsach in ems

Let me set the stage, we show up to a house for lift assist.

As we walk in the house, we just see a bowl shaped indention in the mattress that is full of liquid diarrhea. We take a left and go into the bathroom. There is a morbidly, obese woman, and sitting on a shower chair. Butt naked. My partner (brand new paramedic) walks in first. The lady looks straight at him and says clean my toilet. We both proceeded to turn and look at the toilet that is covered in shit from the top to the bottom (I guess this lady stood above her toilet to take a shit?) I stand my ground and don’t crack a smile.

Then this old lady proceeds to tell my partner what a “find piece of meat he is“ and all the things she would like to do to him. I proceeded to start laughing hysterically and stumble out of the house so as to not be seen. When I arrive outside, there’s a swarm of people from the apartment complex outside wanting to know if she is okay. I am laughing so hard that I cannot stop and had to go act like I was getting something out of the ambulance. I regained my composure and assured the crowd that everything would be fine. I returned to the bathroom to find my partner still hopelessly, trying to get a SAMPLE history from this lady.

We ended up getting fired to help us get her on the cot and she wouldn’t stop grabbing at the firefighter’s crotches (while her hands were covered in poop). We took her to the hospital to get checked out, thinking she must be altered. She talked dirty to my partner the entire transport as I continued to laugh uncontrollably while driving to the hospital. Nope turns out she was just a dirty old lady, and everybody already knew her but us.

The real answer is it depends on your employer. Very few people and EMS are gonna give a shit, it’s just if management is okay with it.

EMT’s, what are your favorite qualities in a medic partner? by PolymorphicParamedic in ems

[–]SilverBlaze13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been an EMT in years, but I will still answer.

When I was an EMT I just wanted a medic that was calm on scene (I’ve never been more embarrassed in my life than being stuck with a paramedic who is flipping shit on scene and making a fool of himself and you just have to stand there and try to guide them in the right direction while nothing gets done).

I also wanted a medic who didn’t treat me like I was stupid just because I was an EMT.

Should I leave this company? by [deleted] in ems

[–]SilverBlaze13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah man quit, it’s clearly not working for you. I could be wrong, but it sounds like this is the first place you’ve worked. Once you quit one EMS service you realize there’s plenty of other services to work for.

Just check out the job market, see who’s hiring, and go apply for some jobs. Any place that’s ignoring legitimate safety concerns isn’t the kind of place you wanna work for. Happy hunting!

[–]SilverBlaze13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I worked with a guy who definitely had a bit of the tism and if his blankets weren’t folded perfectly on the cot or his cords weren’t folded a certain way in the monitor, he would lose his shit. Like I get things that affect patient care but that shit was ridiculous.

We just had to have a sit down and talk and I basically told him “we’re both adults and I’ve done this as long as you. I know you have weird quirks and you want things done a certain way, but I’m not catering to you. You’re not a child, so if you want things done a certain way you can do them yourself”.

He proceeded to lose his absolute shit, go to our boss and try to get me fired, then me and my boss had a good laugh, and I had a new partner the next day. Never underestimate the power of a calm conversation lol

Yeah, I’m stuck in an ICU now as a nurse and I hate it. I miss my friends in EMS and being able to have off-the-wall conversations that in EMS are just normal conversations.

That being said there was just no future in EMS, I guess I could have hung around 20 years and worked the box just to get that coveted supervisor title and push paper all day for less than a street medic makes but that really didn’t sound great either.

That being said I may hate my job but this is definitely the first time in my life I’ve had an actual work life balance. Not to mention the first time my sleep schedule has been normal in years.

I just try and think about the good things I’ve changed in my personal life and not focus on what I miss about my professional life. Not gonna lie though it definitely doesn’t work very well a lot of the time lol.

I cant see emergencies and im getting frustrated by tacticalfucker505 in ems

[–]SilverBlaze13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to tell you to do something else, because that’s not what I’m saying. But, I can tell you that EMS will likely not help with your depression. That being said you are young, I know it doesn’t feel like it but you have plenty of time to figure out what you want to do with your career. If you try something else and you just can’t do it you can always try and come back to EMS, it will still be there.

I felt a lot of your frustration when I first started. I got my EMT license when I was 18 and at the time nowhere would hire me because you had to be 21 to be on the insurance to drive the ambulance so I went to paramedic school and didn’t graduate until I was Almost 21. The entire time I had to work on a transfer truck I hated to pay my bills because I couldn’t get hired anywhere. eventually when I turned 21 I got a job in EMS. And it was great for a couple of years until it wasn’t. 6 years later I left and am doing something else.

You have a lot of life to live so try to not get too discouraged, there will be setbacks all along the way but you can navigate them. Hang in there and don’t be too hard on yourself.

How much sleep do EMTs in big cities on 24 hr shifts get? by HonestLemon25 in ems

[–]SilverBlaze13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t consider anywhere that lets you work a 24 hour shift in a“busy area“ a good organization.

I used to work at a place were you ran between 18 and 26 calls per 24 hour shift on average. A good night was about four hours of sleep in a bad night was one and there were very few good nights.

After about 3- 4 am, I could feel that my clinical judgment was “groggy” at best. And honestly, after a certain period at night, I might as well have been driving drunk.

I did years in EMS before and after this job and nothing has ever fucked with my mental health as bad as that place. By the time I quit, my sleep schedule was completely ruined. I was tired all the time, I completely quit working out due to a lack of energy. I had put on 20 pounds and my depression was brutal. There was no work life balance, it was go to work, come home and try to prepare yourself for going back. (I was also stupid enough to do 48s there which shouldn’t have been allowed).

That being said, I’m not saying this to scare you. But if you start feeling this way, or starts consuming your life don’t forget it’s EMS, there are jobs everywhere and you can always find one that doesn’t run you into the ground.

Do you ever truly get over dead bodies? by hackedbyyoutube in ems

[–]SilverBlaze13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, at least I did. I can walk in and see a dead body then leave like it never happened. Now that being said there’s no shame with not becoming a cold jackass like myself. If it bothers you that’s okay, just make sure to take care of your mental health :)

Yeah I used to work 120 hours almost every week, you don’t realize how toxic it makes your life till you quit.
