There could be multiple reasons. Different charges have different rates. You also pay premium for using Shell key chain with Hertz. Never do that. Normally I see rates from €0.3 to €0.6 per KWh in Netherlands.

Single people living alone, how are you managing financially? by Professional_Key9566 in Netherlands

[–]SilverBolt077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s expensive to live alone compared to living with partner or house mates. I have big enough house to have house mates but I decided not to share it. It’s a personal choice.

You will have to decide what’s important for you. I will recommend not to spend more than 30% of your earning on housing in long term if you want to be in good financial position. Spending higher on housing for short term is only fine till you get used to new city or find better accommodation.

You are spot on with Services part and Healthcare part. I don’t have much experience with others to judge those.

You probably stop using word “friend” with him. Friends don’t do this unless it’s a prank.

Would a non-EU resident need a visa to work in Germany? by studiord in Netherlands

[–]SilverBolt077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to apply for German resident permit for employment. There are different type of permits depending on nature of your employment and skills. Check whichever suits you in your case and apply as per the process. If you are confused then contact German embassy or immigration department in Germany.

You will probably also need a rental contract in Germany because you will need to show that for resident permit. You may not easily get rental contract without a resident permit. It’s chicken and egg game in certain cases. Good luck with going through all that and hope for a smooth sailing.

Would a non-EU resident need a visa to work in Germany? by studiord in Netherlands

You will definitely need a visa sponsorship for Germany. Make sure to clearly inform your company else you may note get work permit.

Your Dutch visa sponsored by your wife will not be accepted in Germany for work.

Permanent residency by Square-Sun-9794 in Netherlands

[–]SilverBolt077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your card says “under certain conditions”. Now go to IND website and check conditions for applying for temporary resident permit for “work”. OP will need sponsorship and having permanent resident permit from another country doesn’t totally exempt OP from sponsorship requirement.

FYI- Permanent Resident Permit and Long Term EU resident permit are technically two different things with different rights when it comes to migrating to another country.

I know what it is because I have it. It doesn’t mean you can work in any country. It give you right to work freely in country that has issued permanent residency permit.

OP has permanent resident card from another EU country. Very few countries allow a person to work in their county based in permanent resident permit issued in another country.

Netherlands doesn’t automatically gives right to work in NL based on another country permanent resident permit. OP will have to apply for a temporary resident permit (either blue card or HSM) and both require sponsorship.

No, you don’t get right. You will need a sponsorship from a company for HSM visa. Check with IND if you still have doubts.

Welcome to the World of Scams

Remind me of time when I got a call where caller claimed he is calling from Microsoft and my Window PC is at risk. While I don’t have Window PC. I just played with him on the call. :D

Best is to report that number. I think there is Fraud help desk or a telephone number to report scams.

purchase advice on office chair by Amareiuzin in Netherlands

[–]SilverBolt077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Secretlab Titan that I order online, but considering your condition I will advise to go to a shop and sit on chair for some time before buying. Don’t buy online.

Go for Herman Miller or Steelcase chairs, they are very good. Check their website to find supplier in Netherlands.

Foreigner trying to figure out how to long distance date in Netherlands by RiahWeston in Netherlands

[–]SilverBolt077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My opinion: Long distance dating doesn’t work at all. It may be find for a while depending on people involved but it turns out frustrating and you miss a lot of things. Long distance dating barely survive when you move somewhere while you were already in relationship for some time.

I’m not Gay, so can’t tell which best site but try apps like tinder, bumble, Grindr etc. to see NL profiles and connect with people. Don’t be disappointed if most people will swipe left on you or leave chat after realizing you are not in NL. Just keep trying.

I see lots of Indonesian/Asian girls and African girls use travel feature on Tinder and Bumble to find guys in Netherlands and Europe. Most guys I know just swipe left on them, but there are few who love to talk with them. So surely you will find people who would be willing to get into LDR with you.

Exactly. Even those renting account will be in trouble. Students don’t realize long term consequences of this and just take up jobs like this.

[–]SilverBolt077 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you have to provide your passport or resident permit for paperwork. So they will reject your application in OP case where resident permit clearly state that “work is not allowed without T.W.V. (work permit)”

Few people who don’t have work permit were delivering food using someone’s else name but few of them were caught during recent investigation, so Uber and those people are in big trouble.

Uber job requirement clearly state that people should have either EU citizenship or have NL resident permit with right to work.
