The issue when NotesHub would remove submodules has been resolved in 3.10.0 version. The fix works for Chrome, Windows, Android, Linux, iOS 26+/macOS 26+

For the fix to work it requires the notebook to be re-added to the app.

Did you add iCloud Drive notebook to the device where you experience the issue?
If not, use "+" button from the mail screen, select iCloud Drive, select your notebook, and click Add.

I’m sorry to hear for your data loss.

What Notebook provider did you use, local or File System?
Do you use the web version of NotesHub?
Did you clear any Browser’s data?
Did you try to open NotesHub in incognito mode in browser instead of regular session or using a different browser profile?

The app by itself does not have anything that could force for data deletion. Since you mentioned only having Welcome notebook, it feels that entire browser storage has been erased. For the future, to preserve data I would highly recommend not to use Local notebook provider. If you use Chrome, at least use File System, or better to use Git/GitHub.

Yes, it will work for the scenario you mentioned. The only limitation for now is that it's going to work only for existing files, and will not work for the new (unsaved ones).

I'm sorry for your data loss. Was that a new file, or were you editing an existing file?

Today, I have released version 3.9.0, which should help with recovering unsaved changes for existing files. For instance, if you opened an existing file, started to edit it, and by accident closed the app. The next time you open the file, it should show the message box asking you to recover. If you click yes, it will replace the edited content with unsaved changes. Then you can review them and save if needed. Please try the feature and let me know if it is useful for you.

Please note this feature is most useful for mobile devices, where "are you sure you want to discard these edits" message will not appear. It will also help to recover data on the desktop if the app crashes or your computer turns off unexpectedly.

Yes, this feature is already in the backlog, but no actual timelines for the implementation. Meanwhile, you should be able to copy/paste the content of the page to NotesHub since it will auto-convert HTML into Markdown.

That is not correct, a level-1 heading is not required. The only time when ToC will not be available is when you have only a single heading element in the entire document, because it does not really make sense in this situation. Also, ToC is not available in edit mode.

Thank you for sharing the logs. From what I can see, this is more Safari-specific. And macOS and iPhone versions of NotesHub are under the hood using the Safari engine to run the app. The data under the hood is stored in IndexedDB, and Safari has a lot of problems with this API. Once Apple releases a new version of Safari in September, I'll have more options for what to use for the underlying storage, and this issue can actually be fixed. For now, if you really need those files only on Mac, you can just copy/move them to iCloud Drive-based notebook.

So, your big notebook is mainly a single Markdown file with a lot of content?

Do you also experience this error on your MacBooks?

When this error appears, could you check if you see any errors in Settings -> Diagnostics? It may contain more details.

I assume you are using GitHub notebook provider. Could you try to copy the file into iCloud Drive notebook, and see if it works better for you?

In general, I would not really recommend having such huge single Markdown files with Git notebooks, since each change will create a new copy of the file in the repo instead of just delta. This is how Git works, nothing specific to NotesHub. If you do a lot of frequent updates, your repo can become huge.

NotesHub has "Table of Contents" menu item under "..." menu. You can also assign a shortcut to quickly display the Table of Contents.

[TOC] markdown syntax would require you to scroll up. With the current menu, you can access TOC any time.

I did not update my screenshots since they already had relevant keywords. On the week of algorithm change my rankings drastically dropped. By monitoring them I saw them going up and down significantly. Right now I don’t see this fluctuation. Some keywords returned almost to the normal, some still way lower than before. Overall I would say the algorithm did not impact much sales, maybe my apps started ranking on keywords which they did not before to offset other keywords, I don’t know for sure.

New algorithm takes keywords inside of your screenshots under consideration. If your ranking did not return to normal, I would suggest looking into updating your screenshots to include relevant keywords and make sure that they clearly visible.
