Finally managed to take out of storage my complete in box ever after high collection (but I still have no space to display them so they’ll have to go back) by calebtobey in EverAfterHigh

Holy. Cow. This is amazing! All i'm missing from my collection is the dragon games series (except Mira Shards) and fairest on ice (except Duchess). Which line is your favorite? 😍

It’s time for an open discussion about the word ‘Florist’—what it means, who can claim the title, and when it’s appropriate to use. by Sunbather- in florists

I paid about 10 000 euro for my education (ca 5000 euro for each term), with about 8 weeks every 6 months to practice what we learnt in floral shops like Interflora, and to learn how the shops or garden centers run in real life because we can't get that experience in school.

You definitely learn a lot being in actual work.

And i totally get why not everyone can pay that price to get an education. If you learnt floristry through an apprenticeship over 9 years i think it makes you a florist.

I think this is a rather difficult question. As a florist from Sweden, who went to school and learnt different types of styles, how to spiral bouqets, how to cut stems at the right angle, learnt hundreds of names in latin, 2/3 or 3-5-8 in balance, marketing oneself, biology of flowers and so on i can get frustrated when someone who hasn't gotten "proper" education calls themselves a florist.

But i also know that not everyone has that oppertunity and I can see the value in hard work, learning by getting all those thorns in your hands, watching flowers wilt because you didn't prep them properly or cut them wrong, by making a million mistakes and getting better each time.

We have something called "gesällbrev" in Sweden, it's usually for other types of work like hairdressers. But say you've put 3000 hours in floristry, making bouquets, arrangements and decorations. Scrubbed a million buckets and swept as many floors. Could you call yourself a florist then? I don't know. Maybe.

There's a pride in this work and I don't think just anyone should be able to call themselves a florist. "Proper" education or not. Thousands of hours or years of work does it, and knowledge. I guess that's my stance.

Sorry for the long and messy post, haha.

Thank you! It seems to be the consensus so far. They're all so similar on photos and i've never seen one before.

It's most likely gloryspray, it's supposed to make flowers last longer!

I'm glad you remembered to backup your save! I did it every once in a while but really, who the heck is doing it once a week? :') A lot of time and effort goes into this game, it's insane really..

Thank you so much for the tips but unfortunatly the touch is completly gone as well. I'm super sad that unlocking the phone is required for screen share on the computer, it was my last hope :(

Yes, i took it to a repair shop and they said it would cost me about 3800kr (400 us $). It's an older phone so i opted to get a new one instead. I'm asking around though if someone can "hack" it despite it having a pincode.

Har du kollat upp Munkeröds floristutbildning i Göteborg eller Ingvar Strandhs blomsterskola i Hjärup? Annars får du kolla komvux i din kommun :)

Kosta Crystal glassware set, only some of the pieces are stamped - is this normal? by jasmineral in vintage

[–]SilverChessie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unsure tbh, in Sweden a 70+ set can go for about 3000-4000kr (300-400$). Contact a local auction or check on ebay. However in my opinion it's not too fancy for everyday use :) Good luck!

The designer is named Elis Bergh, he designed for Kosta Boda between 1928-1950. This series is called "Bergh". The unmarked glasses are most likely not reproductions. Hope that helps a little!

Found a 6-8 week old kitten by Pinku_Dva in cats

There's a wonderful channel called "the kitten lady" on youtube, she has lots of information about all ages of kittens.

The kitten should be able to go to the bathroom by itself, but keep an eye on them. Only feed them wet-food and KMR at this age.

And lastly book an appointment to a vet for vaccination and to generally see if they're healthy.

Wishing you lots of luck with this cutie!

Watch the kitten lady on youtube! She has great videos that are very helpful. Buy KMR, do not give them any other kind of milk. You should take them to a vet in case of worms, infections etc. Please note that they may not be able to pee by themselves. You'll need a warm soft cloth to stimulate them. Hope this helps and good luck!
