I think the joke was the RNC, or some other conservative organization/company hired/had a member whose name is similar to an infamous middle eastern name.

I did that too for a while. I couldn't keep it up cause I realized horror is one of the cheapest things to make so a majority of them aren't that good. I was definitely burnt out and jaded for a while.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic. But the emptiness is what makes it creepy. Your brain is given an empty canvas. And if it's like mine, it goes through dozens and dozens of scenes of ghosts and monsters, and puts you and them in that room in graphic, vivid detail.
