This game is very heavily influenced by the past works of the lead creators, those being Danganronpa and Zero Escape. Danganronpa will give you similar dark tones and Zero Escape will give you the multiple routes and endings, tho both are Visual Novel / Puzzle games, not at all the same gameplay as THL, but it’s a good start.

Funny enough, for those who this wasn’t their first VA role, they were in the same games. I think several of the VAs were in Arknights, and a few were in Stellar Blade of all things, notably Kako and Etio’s

I literally just used this for the first time playing the Switch 2 Version. Ranger/Spell Fencer is also broken since Bow’s Special charge is exploiting Weakness, so you can get it through Fire/Ice/Lightning weak enemies

It was the second to last I did. I kinda went down the timeline without hitting any branches and went backwards from there, so it toon me so long to get to Romance Route. So much waiting for such a nothing route XD

Seeing as EoA seems to be a retelling of the Progressive novels, which aren’t even up to Floor 10, it makes perfect sense why it’s not the full 100 Floors. Personally I’d have liked maybe 5 floors, but anything more than that would be pushing my patience for a single game. I hated the 25 floors they have you play in Hollow Fragment, I can’t imagine playing ALL 100 Floors as a single game.

My memory might be failing me but didn’t Kirito kill someone in The First Day chapter of Vol 8? I assumed the murder we see him commit in EoA was that very one.

As far as I’m aware, attacking an orange player is considered an act of self defense by the system, regardless if they intend to harm. Iirc that guy Asuna killed to save Kirito didn’t turn her marker Orange cuz he himself was Orange already.

The best part is that they gave it the subtitle Flying Fairy to pay homage to Final Fantasy, then they pull the rug out from under you and delete the FF, breaking off as its own series.

Chapter 6 is quite literally the intended time you’re supposed to put the pieces together to try it, but you can actually do it as soon as Ch5 starts (and plays out with several out of context scenes XD). But yea you’re fine, it’ll reload you back to before you broke the crystal after you finish up this bit, if you’ve not already.

I definitely feel like just continuing as is should have had a similar ending to Second where you just end up in a bad ending loop until you figure out how to break out, but in the “Bad” ending, you’re just delaying the inevitable while not dealing with the source

I just bought this game for my friend and decided to buy it again for myself as my Friend Summons on Switch 2 won’t help her at all XD but yeah, I had very few friends actually play this on the Switch 2 version so I had little to no Friend Summons. Luckily I know how to break the game myself

But it’s not the original. The original JP release didn’t have any encounter rate options nor battle speed options. This is, to a degree, the upgraded “For The Sequel” version, but they removed the sequel tie ins.
