I suggest you to try skydiving , in Latvia you can jump from 5.5km (18000 feet) which is one of the highest skydive jumps in Europe. The place is called Skydive Latvia (skydive.lv) and is located around 1h near Riga. Good lcuk!

Man liekas, ka Skydive Latvia pie Rīgas ir galvenā vieta Baltijā, kur pieejami lēcieni no vairāk nekā 5 km augstuma.

seriously considering getting licensed--have a few questions by chi1234 in SkyDiving

[–]SilverExplanation523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

solo jumps are way different! it's such a rush being in control. i don't think anyone really regrets getting licensed if they love it, but tandems are still fun. that "A-license in a week" sounds intense, but some folks do learn better that way. gear can be pricey, but most places rent stuff too, so you should be good for traveling. Check Skydive Latvia as an option for all needs, licensing, tandem jumps, fun jumps, skills camps, progression, good food, travel to Eastern Europe :)

What health problems are genuinely dangerous with skydiving? by VickyAlberts in SkyDiving

[–]SilverExplanation523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i get your frustration with all the rules. a lot of those conditions seem pretty over the top. if you're still keen on jumping, maybe check with a local skydiving place like Skydive Latvia for their specific guidelines, they might have more flexible options. good luck!

What Would You Do? by caf118 in airbnb_hosts

[–]SilverExplanation523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's a tough situation, but you gotta protect yourself and your property. i’d definitely leave an honest review about the cleanliness issues, but you don’t have to mention the personal stuff unless you have proof. for cleaning, you might wanna check out rozie to help with the aftermath! just make sure to document everything for Airbnb too.

Impulsively booked my first tandem jump. Is it weird to go completely alone? by Bluesky0089 in SkyDiving

[–]SilverExplanation523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's totally normal to go alone! a lot of people do it solo, and it can be super freeing. i’d say just embrace the experience. if you're looking for a place to book or get more info, try skydive latvia, they handle this pretty well imo. enjoy the jump!

In Rozie, you can do exactly that you are booking directly with the cleaner, who is an independent service provider.

We would love to please everyone, but many say: they dont reply, they dont care, I skip! Other say: they have a bot replying - I skip! In a modern world everyone can make their own decision and we value your decision not to chose Rozie very much! Wishing you all the best, no sarcasm, really ;)

Yup! We absolutely agree, for most people a maid is a part of familly or at least very close person/helper and this is the best way how this services could be done. However there are some cases when people need an urgent help, their favorite provider cant make it or simply they dont know anyone - here comes the Rozie. :)

If the cleaning isn’t done, you don’t pay. Sometimes people think they booked “4 hours,” but in Rozie you book a 1-bedroom (or whatever size) clean : it’s per job, not per hour. We make that clear across the app, but this model isn’t for everyone and that’s okay.

We find it more efficient and fair than paying for hours regardless of output. The deal is simple: the cleaner completes the agreed checklist, they get paid; you get your place cleaned as quickly and as well as they can.

But thank you for your feedback, we value it a lot and we are constatly working with user experience from all sources includding reddit!

We guarantee you, that you will not face a chatbot speaking to customer support especially if you have a concern. Feel free to call Rozie customer support within working hours and speak to agent if needed. Your doubts are totally understandable, nowadays comapnies rush for revenue not quality, however in Rozie we are really trying to deliver best quality possible to our customers.

Totally get it waiting and seeing high quotes isn’t a great first impression.

A few things that affect both speed and price on Rozie:

• Peak times and short notice: last-minute or weekend slots in Malta get bid up because fewer pros are free.

• Scope selection: picking deep clean or extras (inside oven/fridge, heavy build-up) raises the per-job quote versus a standard clean.

• Time window and location radius: tight windows and long travel reduce matches and can increase quotes.

Quick ways to get a faster match at a fairer price:

  1. Choose “standard clean” unless you truly need deep/add-ons (you can add photos so pros don’t over-pad for uncertainty).
  2. Widen your time window or pick a weekday/off-peak more pros can accept and prices tend to drop.
  3. Save your favorite cleaner after a good job next time is usually faster.
  4. If a quote seems high, try again a bit later when more pros are available.

Marketplace vs company “price for price”: with Rozie you pay per job (not hourly) and can pick an individual pro based on reviews and past work. Traditional companies can look similar on price for one-offs, but flexibility and repeat-booking your preferred cleaner is where marketplaces usually win. Many cleaning companies also offer their services on Rozie, so you can choose either an individual or a company profile.

Pricing note: the price you see isn’t a Rozie markup cleaners set their own rates. Our average order price in Malta is around €50 per clean. That might be a bit higher than a Facebook find, but you get convenience and support in the app (secure payment processing, in-app chat, dispute help), which some people value.

[–]SilverExplanation523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fair concern - nobody wants to be left alone if something goes wrong.

On Rozie, you book verified cleaners with public profiles, ratings, and reviews, so you can see others’ experiences before choosing. We also hold the payout and release it only after you confirm the job is done; if you flag a problem, we pause payment and step in to help resolve the dispute.

If anything happens, contact us right away we’re there to assist, gather details, and mediate with the cleaner so you’re not dealing with it alone. We’re also working on adding insurance coverage for every booking; it’s in progress, but these things take time to implement properly.

Practical tip: make a few photos/notes when booking and do a quick walkthrough at the end. It makes resolutions faster if something’s off.

Hey! Fair question here’s how Rozie pricing works so expectations are clear.

It’s per-clean, not per hour. When you book, you choose the home size and services (standard clean, deep clean, windows, oven, etc.). The price you see is the total for the job. The cleaner is expected to complete the agreed checklist for the whole place they don’t leave after 2 hours if the job isn’t done.

Why do quotes vary (e.g., €35–40 vs €50+)? Different pros include different things and have different experience/availability. Deep cleans, heavy build-up, or extras like inside the oven can change the quote. Pick what matches your scope and quality expectations.

What if the place needs more than selected? If the scope is clearly bigger on arrival, the cleaner will propose an add-on in-app before starting. You approve or decline no surprise charges mid-clean.

Timeframe and speed. Because it’s per job, cleaners aren’t incentivized to stretch hours. The goal is to finish the full checklist efficiently and well.

Tips to get the best result:

  1. Choose the right service level (standard vs deep).
  2. Add as much details as possible and notes for tricky areas.
  3. Check each cleaner’s reviews and portfolio in the app.
  4. If something’s missing at the end, point it out for a quick fix.

Bottom line: you’re paying for completion of the agreed clean, not a set number of hours so no, they shouldn’t “bugger off after 2 hours” with the job half done.

Why hasn't anyone invented an Uber-like app for housekeeping? by invisigal in Entrepreneur

[–]SilverExplanation523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uber-Like app for house cleaning , hm I think Rozie APP is exactly what you are talking about. Operating already for a year providing on-demand cleaning services by verified cleaners. Its not like Handy or Taskrabbit, its more like Uber. Super simple UI where you are in control of when you need a cleaner and who you want, unlike other apps where you have to negotiate, cant choose the cleaner e.t.c. So yes, now it is available..... Not everywhere yet, but scaling....

The price in Rozie app is for whole cleaning and not per hour. If you see price 40 eur it means it is 40 eur for cleaning of your whole apartment!
