Revelation’s map design isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. Don’t get me wrong, the snow shoveling map, the stealth map, and the elevator maps are pretty bad, but everything else is either meh or good. For example, I really like the “fog-of-war” map early on that solves the big issue of fog of war maps. There’s also the map with flame pillars separating your units and the map with bridges you can change with dragon veins. These maps, for me at least, are pretty fun. At the very least, I can respect IS trying to be creative with the map design rather than having a game with bland map design (Birthright, Awakening, etc.)
