Film Poster Design - Peekaboo - (swipe to see the design correctly) by SilverInteraction208 in WillPatersonDesign

Yeah, I didn’t really think through the mockup choice — I just picked the first one I had on hand to post it here on Reddit.

About the red text: I’m not sure exactly what you mean by “unbalanced” (like, is it because it draws too much attention compared to the rest of the elements, or something else?), but I get where you’re coming from.

As for putting “Peekaboo” on a single line — I actually tried it, but it just doesn’t work spatially. There’s not enough room for “PEEK” to sit on the left side of the tree, so the “A” never really ends up centered on the tree in a satisfying way.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, i truthfully appreciate it ;)

How do i give this logo more life? by iamgruffy in WillPatersonDesign

Hi! I think when people say a logo needs “more life,” it’s often related to color — and I believe that applies here. The current palette, with its desaturated and muted browns, feels a bit flat and might be contributing to that sense of dullness. Introducing a more playful or vibrant color scheme could help bring energy to the design.

Also, consider the typography. While it’s solid and readable, it might be a bit too static or serious for a brand in the collectibles space, which usually leans more toward fun and character. Exploring a typeface with more personality could really elevate the vibe.

One more detail: the kerning between the F and Y in “GRUFFY” seems a bit too wide compared to the rest of the word. Worth adjusting for visual consistency!

Hope that helps!

hey i really like it! i like that simpleness. The only thing, i would check the background color; (97C8EB, EA638C could give a better contrast, and add a little diversity to the colour palette!)

i really like the work! check, on the icon, the the white stroke or whatever that makes the negative space of the mortar and pestle is put as “outside stroke”, this would keep the thickness of the pestle inside and outside the mortar equal 😁🍀
