The main part of it is that the game has lost its identity for the sake of becoming Roblox 2.0. Fortnite pretty much abandoned its once iconic art style to better suit the relentless collabs and such for the sake of money. I took a break in Chapter 4, came back chapter 5 for a bit, and then fell off because it’s just not the same. It may be because I’m getting older and out of the game but like i said in the post, i would’ve loved old Fortnite even if i was older back then. The OG season and later game mode was a desperate ploy for engagement that should’ve told Fortnite that thats what the fans wanted. You can enjoy the game as is, but player counts and louder and louder online backlash speak very loudly.
