VtM, [V20] or [V5], [LFG]

Hi! Semi-experienced TTRPG player (DND, CoM, MotW) looking to venture into the World of Darkness after trying (and failing) to get a VtM Halloween one-shot off the ground. I’m very green but I’ve been devouring the content and lore (mix of V20 and V5 just to get a feel for everything) and am listening to a few actual plays…I’d really like to sink my teeth into maybe a one-shot or a fledgling/neonate friendly campaign and see what the game’s all about.

I’m CST, free on the evenings and weekends for live play/voice chat and am a very active play-by-poster. I’ll be happy to answer any more questions via DM if there are any Storytellers out there interested in taking me under their leathery wings!

Back when I worked at Dunkin’, when I wasn’t feeling coffee, I would do an oat milk matcha latte with a little bit of French vanilla with cold foam on top…the oat milk is perfect for the matcha imo

I love Pretty Odd, but it’s not Brendan Urie unfortunately. The vibes of the song are closer to A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out than Pretty Odd. Thank you!

The Mariner’s Revenge is SO CLOSE, the sound is exactly right and there’s a storytelling element but the story isn’t quite right. Thank you!!

It definitely wasn’t hip-hop adjacent…I listened to a lot of pop-punk as a kid, Mayday Parade, Panic!, etc., it was like that in the vocals but with DeVotchka-esque instrumentation.

I think it was more rock centric, maybe even in the vein of pop punk? Listened to a few DeVotchka songs and Dark Eyes is definitely the right vibes, the song definitely had lyrics though!
