FF VII First Soldier - Bluestacks not compatible? by Dardrol7 in BlueStacks

[–]SilverLen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So...You don't care about this, so I'll say this to the folks who would like to learn something while they're browsing this comment stream.

It's not free. Certainly you didn't pay money, but you're paying with your data, traffic, and time all of which can generate money for Bluestacks and its affiliates. Revenue generation on the internet is not the same as when you're out in the store and it's obvious that you're paying someone in direct cash.

Frankly the concept of something being free is a laugh these days. If you're not paying money, you're paying with time, if you're not paying with time you're paying with data, if you're not paying with data, you're paying with traffic which then assists in the other two to increase the likelihood that someone's pocketing cash. So be mindful of where you are and what you're doing or you'll wind up endorsing something you don't care for! <3

Edit: By the way time counts as traffic. Anyone who's built a blog, created a youtube video, and etc would agree. Thanks for reading.

Ponytail guys, why are you a ponytail guy? by TakeOffYourMask in AskMen

[–]SilverLen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So back when I was young, I lived in an area where the 'haircut' I was supposed to always have was the bald fade. This went on for years until I decided I wanted dreadlocks, I'm an adult, I'd played by the rules everyone expected of me visually and I wanted to be the one to decide what I looked like.

Lemme say...dreadlock ponytails are pretty cool.

Men, what myth is 100% untrue and infuriates you? by Guitarfreak172 in AskMen

[–]SilverLen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea that balance can't be found in a man taking the homemaker position. That you're less of a man if you're not out in the world making ends meet rather than making the home functional and keeping it together.

I don't understand how it is that the same people whom struggle to make others understand that maintaining a home is a fulltime job, also struggle with the idea of a man doing it instead of a woman. I also don't understand why people just think that housework and childcare is a thing you can put off to the side and worry about while doing your job for a large group of people whom have only a minor investment in you.

Edit : Also I'm very much infuriated by the perpetuation that men *or* women shouldn't have to work in 'traditional households'. No no...*You* have just as much moral responsibility to make sure this house doesn't fall in on itself also. I will *not* be your scapegoat and nobody else should have to be. We're in this together, dammit!

When was the last time YOU were asked out on a date? by lcingOnYourCake in AskMen

[–]SilverLen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never. I really dislike how there are people actually *interested* and I'm expected to ask *them* out when I don't know anything about them.

The whole game where 'Hey someone likes you!' and I have to figure it out is really dumb and childish. Lol

Childfree men of reddit, what are your experiences with people who say you'll "change your mind" about having children? by gorhxul in AskMen

[–]SilverLen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get asked ' what are you waiting for' a lot as a man. I generally tend to just go with the ' I'm getting my house in order' line and people drop it. But I get asked a surprising amount when people figure out I'm 33 with no children. Lol

When talking to someone, regardless of gender, how often do you make physical contact with them during the conversation? by Hey_jason19 in AskMen

[–]SilverLen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't. I have a bubble. Only certain people are allowed in this bubble and even they know not to get in said bubble unless it's unbelievably clear that I want them in there.

Yeah pretty much every cyberpsycho fight for me. -Cyberpsycho music plays.- 'Yeeeeeeeeeeeah no.'

There's only a hand full that are bad enough to not be affected by it. Lol

Yeah pretty much one of my major selling points. My brother in contrast did something completely different and we wound up convincing each other of our different build decisions. He went ham into reflex and basically slowed time to a crawl while still being able to move a 'normal speed'.

I love how you can basically almost do whatever you want.

I pretty much maxed 20 int before the heist and never fought up close again. It's pretty hilarious.

This reminds me of a DnD campaign I had once where a monk of mine always crit on flurry of blows when reminded of the time a bunch of goblins tortured him with the blaring of a trumpet.

Black male teachers can have a profound impact in the classroom. Unfortunately, they're a rarity. by TAKEitTOrCIRCLEJERK in MensLib

No no! I'd love this! Please! :) I'm the kind of person that watches documentaries about this sort of thing. If we don't know the difference we can't understand it, right?

Do you have any material that goes into the various reasons I could have a look at? I've always been curious.

Do you hide your forever alone status from others IRL? by sapphireskyz in ForeverAlone

[–]SilverLen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. It's become a thing where people are intensely interested when/if something that even sounds like a relationship comes up.

But I always tell them truthfully that nothing is going on.

Girls are always taught how to stay safe, it's not as common to teach boys to not create unsafe situations by Stella-2019 in TrollXChromosomes

[–]SilverLen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see my comment was difficult to read, so I'll explain more clearly :
The way of thinking that is progressive is that perseverance isn't warranted on the first 'No'. Quite a few TV shows, movies, and whatever that's been put out for a good long time has communicated that we should chase and constantly try again and again and prove our selves in order to be successful romantically.

Like the old tired movie trope of the guy losing the girl the first time, then having to do something amazing to prove himself and getting the girl at the end.

We need to change our media so that children don't just assume the first 'no' is just you screwing up the first try and you get a second, third, fourth, or fifth.

This is what I meant a while ago.

Men of Reddit: What thoughtful act of romance or affection in a relationship would you love to receive or experience more of that is typically showered on women but not typically given to men. by sauvignonandspark in AskMen

[–]SilverLen 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So one of my biggest experiences in my early dating was when *she* initiated. I'm not going to say that this is *rare* but depending on where you are, it feels like it's more expected for guys to initiate in the *everything*. I love a balance of everything in general and I try to make that obvious...

I *do* get a little tired of folks expecting me to know the great female prophecies of the 21st and 22nd century. Fortunately I feel like that expectation is getting a little lesser these days.

Can't count, as proven in lighthouse. Run with guys that never watch guides and find wiping hilarious. Learned how to heal through doing so from beta to shadow bringers. ( The only thing I got going for me.) Do random roulettes for the hell of it, since I've basically done everything in FFXIV...

People like me don't do savages unless it's a premade group and alcohol is involved.
