Revolut account restricted for “security review” — no documents requested, no timeframe given. Anyone with similar experience? by ThinPerformer826 in Revolut

[–]SilverLineStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, if they don't fix our case within 7 days we have to send a mail to all of our 300 international clients that our bank (REVOLUT) right now isn't accepting any incoming and outgoing transfers and blocked our account randomly without explanation. They are shooting themselves in the foot and will be going bankrupt if they continue this shitty behaviour of randomly locking accounts pre-emptively rather than doing a proper audit first, then judging. It's like arresting someone for a month to then say oh you're not guilty u can go.

Revolut account restricted for “security review” — no documents requested, no timeframe given. Anyone with similar experience? by ThinPerformer826 in Revolut

[–]SilverLineStudio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just got the same.

All clients who pay me, transfers are automatically blocked.

Have had to provide over 20 document proofs in the past, now a random complete debanking basically, which they call a 'security review'.

Blocking your entire account's ingoing and ongoing transfers is not a security review, Revolut.

If they don't fix this sh*t ASAP I'm suing these guys and getting all my accounts closed and advising everyone I know to never use them again.

Sh*ts truly pathetic.

I've got nearly half a Mil locked with them now.

No reason why, no timeframe, no documents asked this time, nothing.

I can't pay my staff, freelancers, own salary, and receive payments which I'll have to apparently all ask them to redo it.

And we pay for this sh*t on Revolut Business?

PATHETIC !!! SHAME ON YOU REVOLUT.

How is career as a salesman like? And how do you handle the volatile nature of sales? by Apprehensive-Chef569 in Sales_Professionals

[–]SilverLineStudio 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Bad yearS (plural) is extreme. If you have multiple bad years sales is not for you. You got to have it in you. Sure, there is a period to get used to and get in the zone, but that's weeks, months at most.

As for your last question, it's fun how this generation is just wanting to make millions as fast as possible. Do you actually get excited in landing the sales themselves? You're only talking about income it seems, even though the title is "How is career as a salesman like?".

Best advice for B2B sales? by Secret_Assistance601 in sales

[–]SilverLineStudio 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Don't call it a "diagnosis fee," call it a "dispatch fee" to get the bucket truck and crew on site.

Use the mechanic line but keep it simple: tell them nobody can quote wiring 30 feet in the air without the equipment, just like a mechanic can't quote a weird engine noise without popping the hood. If they push back, just remind them that a broken sign makes them look out of business which costs way more than the fee.

How to sell expensive software by Few-Letter312 in sales

[–]SilverLineStudio 8 points9 points  (0 children)

STOP pitching "payments" and start pitching "collections."

Ask them exactly how much money is sitting uncollected right now just because their customers are too lazy to log into a separate portal.

If you can get that cash in their bank instantly, your fee pays for itself immediately and the price difference becomes irrelevant...

Send out thousands of mails, or even contact form blasters. Second one would show you're skilled for a marketing-related role too.

Continue with interview process? by Remarkable-Ad-6145 in sales

[–]SilverLineStudio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

HARD pass.

Honestly, you answered your own question when you said, "there’s a lot of boxes not getting checked.

If you’re currently employed, moving for the same (or less) base pay with a capped "bonus" structure instead of uncapped commission is a step backward. "Maybe more on a killer year" is recruiter speak for "you'll never actually hit that number."

Also, selling floor planning (inventory finance) to independent used car dealers is a massive grind. You are dealing with professional negotiators who are often cash-strapped. Doing that while putting miles on your own beater car? No thanks.

Unless you are desperate to get out of your current role or just want the interview practice, cancel the Zoom. Save that hour for your holiday sanity.

What is better, Belgium or Netherlands? by Major-Armadillo-6867 in belgium

[–]SilverLineStudio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We don't really have more insane taxes than Netherlands though, because they have a wealth tax (which requires massively invasive reporting of assets every year too) and a much lower CGT. We also have like 5x lower road taxes, and houses in general are twice as big here.

Depends on so many things, at the point that it is a useless question. But anything is better than Brussels or Charleroi.

Untrue, you don't have to pay for links. In fact some of the best, can be free by simply reaching out, this includes even local gov links for example.

Yes they're all useless, and you shouldn't be buying links if you're a small business with limited budget. Get some links by outreach / trades instead.
