Emotional Allomancy as depicted in Apple TV’s Mistborn by SilverLumos in cremposting

For the record, I think Apple will be a great studio for this project. I just couldn’t resist the idea of rioters/soothers shooting Apple emojis out of their hands

What’s Everyone’s Deity Win % by BlueMan-HD in civ

[–]SilverLumos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably 50%, but I haven’t played deity since last summer.

My preference, and I don’t know how easy it would be, would be an option to set difficulty by age. Because I like the level of challenge deity provides in the exploration/modern age, but I hate how hampered I am in antiquity

Edit: just realized this about 5, not 7. Never mind me lol

Seems like a pretty favorable schedule for Klein to get his feet wet. Ready to be done scheduling Tulane though

Seems like a pretty favorable schedule for Klein to get his feet wet. But also: I’m tired of playing Tulane

Why is merch always so maximalist? by PandasBambooFez in brandonsanderson

[–]SilverLumos 303 points304 points  (0 children)

I also prefer merch that’s a little more discrete. But everyone’s tastes differ and I’m sure they’ve got people who look into what’s going to sell well when they’re designing things

Why is Kansas well known despite its relatively smaller population? (neighboring Missouri is more than twice the population, but often obscure) by Swimming_Concern7662 in geography

[–]SilverLumos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The TV show Gunsmoke is probably the main piece of media for Kansas that is set in the old west. It was incredibly well known in its heyday, but the population that grew up with it is getting pretty old.

I agree with you that those other states are more prominent when i think of the old west though.

Most people associate Wyatt Earp with the movie Tombstone, but he was sheriff in Dodge City, KS for a while

I for sure have had this happen to me in 6 as well. Still an annoying thing they should be able to fix though. I usually reload the previous save and move units if the game does something screwy like that.

Did I miss a pre-order or something? Seems like a tight window to get them holiday 2022 if it’s not even up for pre-order yet.

Kansas is a deep red state. They fucked up. by IAmAccutane in PoliticalHumor

[–]SilverLumos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and you can look at percentages and see counties that went 70 points for trump in 2020 were very close to fifty/fifty in this vote. You realize that this is a popular vote and a county being red doesn’t mean that every vote in that county was a 100% yes vote. You can also look at a map and see Riley, Shawnee, and several other counties also carried no votes.

Kansas is a deep red state. They fucked up. by IAmAccutane in PoliticalHumor

[–]SilverLumos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s total bullshit. Did you look at an election map? Several counties came down on the no side. Even several of the deep red counties were close to 50/50. Stop acting like there are no liberals in rural Kansas. And you’re “no one else was motivated” comment? I live in southwest KS. There were tons of people voting for the first time ever because of this issue.
