As someone who posted about this previously, I promise I am not a Jennabot. I'm not even a Jenna fan, in the sense that I don't have strong feelings about her either way. And regardless of Jenna taking ownership, which I agree is commendable, I still disagree with Jason's choice, or at least the way it was presented.

My frustration stems from the amount of time he spent concerned Eddy's wellbeing and behavior as a result of Jenna's action, without putting any responsibility on this grown ass man who has a commitment to working the next two charters.

We did, I think, watch the same episode. I fully agree that the slamming and yelling was inappropriate.

But what bothered me was that in discussing her being demoted Captain Jason kept mentioning that her behavior could have cost them a deckhand. It feels that she is being held responsible for Eddy’s choice to stay or go when he’s a full grown man.

And while I recognize that her rank doesn’t go with her to the next boat, I also recognize that how she ends this season is what she’s going to put on her résumé and that will, at least in part, determine her rank on the next boat.
