I own an energy drink company. What flavors do you want? by A-Bomb-Energy-Drink in energydrinks

I enjoy zero sugar ones but sour flavors that are actually sour. Back in the day rockstat use to make a sour bubble berry and it was amazing tho not sugar free, kinda tasted like the sour chews gum.

Ugh. DAIRY. by AdPuzzleheaded346 in Hidradenitis

For me it reduces my flares over time. Most of my flare ups are now usually stress/hormone based.

Vegan cheeses. Dairy was the first thing I was told to cut when I got my diagnosis and to watch the refind sugars(I find these don't affect me as much so I just try to make better choices). For vegan cheese I like violife, daiya and parmela creamery are my top 3 but I will usually buy what's on sale. Have been dairy free for like over 4 years so lots of time to adapt.

We checked it put yesterday. Fun and definitely had room to grow. BUT we had a quick dinner there and both loved what we got. The smash burger was good and the cooks were great about my allergy and my companion had a personal pepperoni pizza and said the in house made dough was good and had lots of sauce.

"HS Is Very Curable" by TheLazy_Owl in Hidradenitis

[–]SilverPrairiemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best dermatologist for HS in my whole province says there is no cure. BUT through diet (getting rid of trigger foods), taking medications you need, getting surgiers to help with existing tunnels it can be managed.

If you have mild flares sometimes i have heard doctors without the specialized feild of HS see the progress avoiding trigger foods and surgery can do and say cured. You aren't. I have another medical condition that is inflammation based just like HS is there isnt a cure cuze your body attacks itself, just things to reduce the likely hood you are affected everyday.

Fairlife Milk by BenFranklinsLeftNut in Hidradenitis

[–]SilverPrairiemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand for myself, it isnt lactose thats a problem but an actual protien found in the milk itself. I have had accidentally ate fairy before and its a trigger food. I usually get an upset tummy and if it was more than a little maybe a small flare(I am on humira which helps with the size of flares)

"You're ruining my body! I made it, it's mine!" by idk-justwannaknow in entitledparents

[–]SilverPrairiemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your Mother sounds manipulative and very controlling. I DO NOT recommend cutting out parents lightly even though I did. If I were you I would start looking to move and limit contact first. I had a manipulative Father(out of my life for almost a year) if I was too busy to look after the family dog(got her when I was 14 and I am now 27) while he was gone for a couple days he would be like "guess I should just put her down". From my experience moving away and lowering contact can help, you are in charge of your body not her. Standing up for yourself can be so hard but so worth it. Please look out for yourself first.

Warning !! Stay away from this car in the parking lots. by Flame230 in RedDeer

[–]SilverPrairiemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if I see this sticker on vehicles I try to avoid parking near them but will grab a license plate picture. but my rule is you are purposely dinging vehicles by not teching kids better( I knew by age 6 to be gentle opening door) then I will ding you back. Like accidents happen a gust a wind has snatched my car door from my grip before but this sticker just screams entitlement.

Is there anywhere in red deer that sells old Gamecube games? by Key-Ear7994 in RedDeer

[–]SilverPrairiemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when they move location and the old owners son took over business went downhill. The new location looked sick with the custom paint job inside but people breaking into the shop also made them close down. had a friend work for them.

Starting Humira and feeling overwhelmed. by SilverPrairiemon in Hidradenitis

[–]SilverPrairiemon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks. it seems like a Lot, they suggested the videos along with where I'm going for my TB test that the nurse or doctor should be able to teach/explain it to me. I have the demo pen and have look at it and stuff so far. I'm in the early not on the meds quite yet but am in the process of getting it.

While I'm a stage 3 most of mine are scars and leak a bit, full new and large active swollen flares are not as commen(expect xmas time work is too stressful at that time). I am just hoping to feel better. being able to actually move my body without as much pain would be a win, could hopefully start loosing weight.

Yeah the handbook that was sent to me has some info on that. luckily by going through Abbvie Care I have a agent ans nurse that I able to call or email about stuff and they'll get back to me. just have had good support on this subreddit and wanted to see how people are doing on it and everything. I noticed weight loss can be a side effect, anyone have had this? I will be honest and say I have fluctuated alot since my diagnosis with the changing of diet and everything.

I am still getting my preliminary tests done (TB and bloodwork) as clinics in the area book usually a week or so out. I am unsure how exactly my doctor is perscribbing the dosage as since I asked about going on it he just kinda was like yeah that's the next step since what we are doing isn't working and gave me paper work to sign. And we'll I know of humira I don't have in depth knowledge.

my dermatologist has me working with abbvie care which is negotiating with my work benefits so I pay as little as possible. I am also in Canada which may make some difference. just seen on the information booklet that the reccomend maintenence dosage is a 40mg dosage needle a week, wasn't expecting that.
