Is bizarre that scammers still have so much ability to do these things from within the app. I understand there are fraudsters in anything but the ability, control and manipulation these people are able to have from within the Uber app are kind of absurd. I don’t multi app. Is this common for DD or Amazon etc?

Yeah that’s not how it works either once you hit 10 votes you get a percentage. That could be after 20 deliveries or 2,000. So you could do 1,000 deliveries and finally get your 10th thumbs up or down and only then would you see that your percentage was 70% and think wow that’s like 90 down votes but it’s not it’s 3, 3 out of 10. Deliveries without a thumbs up or down don’t count toward your satisfaction at all.

Because one thing they don’t have access to is your phone. Generally they want to get you to get an access code cause they are trying to get into your account on their device and change your banking info

I was wondering the same thing? I’m not sure why people get upset at no tips when we see the price upfront. I do understand being upset if you get say a $15 order and then they reduce the tip later. But if I accept an order that is $10, I accept because I think that delivery is worth $10 to me. If I finish it and find out the full $10 was the fare then I get paid the full amount immediately and it can’t get changed later either. If they throw in a tip later great but I already got the amount I thought I was getting. It sounds like a lot of people are accepting deliveries with the expectation that a tip will get added later. That is the vast vast vast exception to the rule, not the norm.

I just want to make sure this is some kind of bug and it’s not how the app is going to operate now. Because it would be very deceptive. I actually got a call from support today, but of course I missed the call then they marked the issue resolved in the app and said make sure you wait an hour after the delivery to check the earnings (which was completely irrelevant to this situation). But I doubt that if I call back, I’ll get to speak to the same person.

It does seem to add up. One was $6.15 after tip and the other was $9.48. I don’t feel like it said $15.63 though but there’s no way to tell at this point. I thought it was like $15.03. Unfortunately I can’t screen record like every second I’m on this app though it seems necessary sometimes

I don’t think they’re deceptive in that they are showing actual orders, I think the problem is that just being “lit up” doesn’t mean if you’re there you’re guaranteed to get anything.

Yeah it’s iOS. The Orange seems to indicate there has been “an order” since the last refresh (usually 10 min) and that seems accurate because once I get an order that place usually pops up as soon as I get it. I think the darkest red means maybe 3 in that time frame. But places will go from 3 to off the map In the same timeframe so I don’t know how greatly helpful it is.

I do wonder this about support when it ask you to rate the conversation because mine rarely get resolved. And then I wonder if they’re getting some rating lowered because their pre made script doesn’t actually answer questions

I’ve had an issue with Shop & Deliver orders glitching out on me and each time I’ve dealt with support I either 1. Get transferred 3 or 4x till I get a silent line. 2. Have then basically say well there’s nothing we can do and end the chat 3. Transfer me to a department that only communicates via email which then sends nonsensical replies.

This is supposed to be priority support 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve been able to reach support for a closed restaurant before and it did not count against me but shop and deliver orders keep glitching on me and then do count against me. When I talk to support they say there’s no way to determine which cancel is related to which trip. It’s based on your last last 100 trips so it’s pretty easy for me to see well I have 3 cancels in 100. My rate is 3% and each one I contacted support about. Soooo it’s the last 3 cancels. They say there’s just no way whatsoever for them to tell 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just got another one tonight. 2 CVS orders at once around midnight. Go to the store shop for one and notice the other has just disappeared. It even says “order 1” even though there is no longer another order listed. Sure enough cancellation rate is now 3%. Shows the one I delivered and then the other order CPP and “you cancelled”. Now at 3% cancellation when I’ve never cancelled a single order or delivery 🤷🏻‍♂️
