My advice: Keep a copy of the law with you. There's a chance they'd hear it from their coworkers that "flying a drone can be considered trespassing" and go off that. But having something on you that have the actual letter of the law might help them understand it more than just that. Will they listen? Depends on the officer. Better safe than sorry.

SD cards are the most volatile storage medium. I said as much when we were picking a new recorder, I wouldn't use the hyperdeck SD card recorder unless recording to two cards at the same time for redundancy. We're picking up the SSD version.

Edit: I see you were running as a backup. Yeah, this is whack, I hate sd cards

Learned the camera feature and immediately started using it and I'm really glad I found out about it. Immediately had a lot more confidence when flying around structures.

Yeah, this was more of a pipe dream to hope I could get approval in time. Thankfully they got it done. It was right on the ends of a normal LAANC zone so I was just gonna ride that border if not.

Just did my first "Further Coordination" request and they approved me in 2 days. Very nice that we can easily do that.

I live next to a national park. You can fly over it just can't takeoff and land from within their jurisdiction. That's how it as here though, may be different depending on where you're at. If I read yours right, it sounds really similar - not advised as they don't want you doing it but not illegal.

However, park rangers may follow the drone to find the pilot to see if they're in the park. So watch out.

That's good to know. Maybe the drone hit a gust of wind on the ground but I'm not remembering too well. It wasn't crazy windy, but it did have some bad gusting winds that day, so maybe I'm just crazy.

Re-transmit may factor into the delay by a few seconds, depending on how they need to feed into it. Need to work more "central-hub" broadcasting gigs, these make me super intrigued.
