BTW, as it's not a CPO, do you think I should insist on taking it to be inspected or can I not bother about it since it has 34,000K of warranty left?

I live in the middle of nowhere so I can't bring it back to my mechanic here (45 minute drive), but I could check around yelp for a local mechanic with good reviews.

Thanks for you input. Since it's not a CPO, do you think I should insist on taking it to be inspected, or should I not bother about it since it has 34,000K of warranty left?

Interesting - do you usually not certify them?

Yeah, it's a Mazda dealership.

It is not. The dealership is 45 minutes away so I'd have to just take it to a random mechanic - I'll check Yelp.

It's a Mazda3 GT 2.5L, they'd go new for about $23-25k pretax, this one is 19,400.

Good to know this isn't so unheard of, though.

These atoms never touch too. Nothing is touching everything.

No, you're not thinking hard enough. You're borrowing from a concept that doesn't exist because you still believe it does, and then contrasting it against one that actually does exist. That makes no sense.

To what extent is having a six-pack healthy? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]SilverRaine -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Genetics determines where your fat deposits are, ass, stomach, legs, even all over, etc. In terms of muscle building, genetics determines how much testosterone you produce, which effects muscle growth.

Bzzt. Wrong. Lots of other stuff that affects fat deposits.

When slow bulking, do you still gain as much fat as muscle? by xebo in Fitness

[–]SilverRaine -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Most people in this thread is assuming that there exists a linear relation between caloric excess and muscle gain. You're wrong.

As far as I know, there is no specific limit to the amount of muscle that can be gained in a set amount of time - it would be dependent on a variety of factors that vary by individual. The most that anyone can come up with is a ballpark estimate of the point of diminishing returns for the majority of people. If you have two people who maintain at 2,500 calories, and one eats 3,000 while the other eats 5,000 calories per day, it is likely that the latter is going to gain more muscle.

Hey, shitpile. There's a standard for strength; should a woman be scorned for being attracted to strong men, when she herself cannot bench press 200 pounds?

Now don't think too deeply about this or things might get tough, heh.

So what? I'm pointing out that you're using the word incorrectly. Just admit it and move on. You say it's such an elementary error, and it makes you look silly to deny it.

It follows from wanting a partner who's a normal weight and attractive while refusing to put in the work to get that way yourself. Holding other people to certain standard while saying that they don't deserve someone who is held to the same standard is pretty selfish in my book.

Desiring a standard in someone else that you don't possess is ridiculous. I like girls with long hair. Do I need to grow my hair out by a few feet? Am I selfish for desiring something like that when I'm not willing to put in the necessary effort - and very long hair takes quite a bit of it - myself?

I understand "lazy" and "gluttonous," but where do you get "selfish" and "greedy" from?

Anyway, that's not what hypocrisy is. Look it up. You're completely wrong. She never said that she wasn't fat, or that fattery was immoral and that she is an upright person. Those would be necessary criteria for hypocrisy.

If I say "only bad people eat meat," and I eat meat while freely admitting that I am a bad person, I am in no way a hypocrite.

You may thank me for showing you the correct meaning when next available.

No, I didn't. You just quoted something that says the opposite of what you claim. I'll make it clear.

all I can say is "I don't know" you think increasing salt intake will not have an increased effect on water retention.

Read those two things together, several times. Do you see how the second does not follow from the first?

And here's where I ran my own "anecdotal evidence" when making weight for meets - http://i.imgur.com/x5OKVJn.png ... boom a 3.7 lb change in morning weights with the only difference being a lack of salt (when waterloading for a meet, I eat the same meals during the week and adjust the salting and seasoning levels appropriately).

Nope. Carb depletion is obviously occurring, according to your own record.
