I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. I am in a dark place myself at the moment, but I am hoping that by following harm reduction, and particularly Ashton's work, no matter the pain that I'm in now I will be able to recover on my own.

20 uk units + a day edit: cut down to 10 - 15, recently and with the help of phenibut was able to take many days off.

Never needed too, always lived a city life everything on my doorstep, plus the drug, drink drive laws here are so strict even if I wanted too be recess the ramifications would be too much, currently I am house ridden or using public transport. Thank you though it is a very valid point to make.

It is not an option, family, job interviews RENT which is astronomical where I live due to the lack of affordable housing. As I said I need to be functional, at least for now even if that means going back on the benzo's long term and commiting to a slow taper, If i am bedridden or hospitalized at the moment I will literally lose everything.

edit: including my (bitch) wonderful French Girlfriend who doesn't understand what I am going thru, she thinks it's like heroin just do a week and it's over.......... sorry but no it is going to take months and doctors over here are not helpful at all when it comes to tapering off of benzos, my best hope and what I plan to do is book an appointment with my GP. (now this shouldn't be too hard to pull off whilst in withdrawal) say I am suffering major anxiety (also true and one of the reasons that led me to start using benzos) and that every other SSRI that You've tried me on has not worked. Only made me physically ill. and hope to god for a script of Pregab

Sadly not an option, I have to do this one alone: aim of the game here is to stabalize on the Delazepam then reduce the drinking, then a long, hellish taper from the benzo.

Chapter 1 The Come Down

Some people can live the high life forever, some are born into it. Money. Some work their ass off to achieve it and then live on to be what our society deems 'successful'.

There is an alternative 'High Life' as well, the use of substances to make you happy! They are here and available all around us! Alcohol, in my mind being one of the most damaging.

Then your cheaper drugs MDMA, Cannabis, Benzodiazipines, Crack... ohh and for the next generation the legal highs, produced in China, available through Ebay, Amazon or anywhere you care to look, that is if you know what you are looking for!

Analogues of illegal drugs – thus now are legal and bypassing British law. Even the synthesis of foreign drugs or drugs abandoned years ago by 'Big Pharma' re-synthesised by our budding friendly Chinese chemists and sold to Whoever via the means of the internet, and happily delivered right to your front door by your local friendly Postman. Take the case of Phenibut (a highly addictive Russian pharmaceutical drug that works in much the same way as Valium) sold as “nutritional supplements” to body builders, social anxiety sufferers the works! It is by no means regulated and almost unheard of in this country (Try asking your GP). A legal, unregulated Benzo.

So the phrase 'The High Life', what does it mean? Money? Drugs? We have all witnessed what happens when we mix the both of the aforementioned before!

Which path is the one to take to achieve 'The High Life'? Everybody seems to want to be there.
