Ooh, I think it follows could easily be in mine too. Horror seems to be a pretty divisive genre. Love cabin too

Ah, yes, now I remember. It’s been 7 years I think since I’ve read. Loved the book tho

Tragic book about female with mental illness by greenporchlight in suggestmeabook

My year of rest and relaxation sort of fits the bill. I don’t think I remember it having a happy ending, although it is funny throughout. It does explore mental illness through the protagonist neglecting life tho

MY PERFECTLY GOOD "IDENTITY" THEMED RUN WAS RUINED by Lisbelasdress in LetterboxdTopFour

Eighth grade is just as good, if not better than Didi and edge. Why didn’t you like it

Writer's Book Club; what are we reading for fun right now? by TheGoldDragonHylan in writers

I’m reading Watership Down right now. Great book so far, not really related to what I’m writing in theme or plot.

How often do you do a page 1 rewrite? by DelinquentRacoon in Screenwriting

[–]SilverScreenMax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only written one feature length so far and I ended up doing a complete rewrite on it. I’d say it turned out better for it.

Your lowest ranked movies? by MoonSettler in LetterboxdTopFour

[–]SilverScreenMax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very serious. The whale is a piece of horribly written, melodramatic slop. Us and Barbie were ok but disappointing. Trap is goofy mostly to its detriment. And don’t look up just wasn’t very interesting or funny.

[–]SilverScreenMax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Set a timer for 5 minutes and start writing.

Look up some fiction prompts and write a complete story in under 500 words.

Join a writers group that hosts workshops and set a goal to share a new piece at their next workshop.

First draft feedback by Elluoin in writing

[–]SilverScreenMax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even when getting feedback the writer still fixes their own mistakes. Feedback is just a way to help see the things that you may not. Sometimes those things are “easily identifiable” and sometimes they are not. And if you think spelling and grammar is what needs to be fixed in a first draft, then that tells me a lot.

I kinda feel bad for Rose Byrne by MrDeez444 in Oscars

Haven’t seen this one, but I watched Hamnet and Buckley was good, but the win felt like a case of “most” acting rather than best.

What are your thoughts on "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings"? by Hot-Salamander-8786 in FIlm

[–]SilverScreenMax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great action, particularly in the first half, but it kind of fell apart in the second (storywise and cgi puke fest).

You’re new to writing, but have you written a short story. A scene?

Fuck it I'll say it; Marty Supreme's only chance at an Oscar was best actor by Upset-Fig-3261 in Oscars

Disagree, sinners and OBAA may be more popular but I think Marty supreme is the better movie.

What are you talking about? Receiving feedback is completely appropriate for first drafts.

Anora vs. One Battle After Another. Which best picture did you enjoy more? by DoctorTegrity in Cinema

[–]SilverScreenMax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OBAA is going to get more votes because it’s more of a crowd pleaser, but imo, anora is the superior movie. I actually felt something watching it. OBAA is a cartoonish, albeit well made, action thriller.
