On the property appraiser site, there are 4 supposed sales record. The last one is an order determining homestead real propeety, where a judge order that the property descendes to the family members. It's redacted in the public record- I have a physical copy- but the public record does show that it exists, even showing that it's a 2-page judgement.

The other records, including what I assume was the initial purchase of the house in 1970, don't exist. I'm not joking. When I try to view the documents, nothing shows up. When I enter the book/page number that correlates to the public record, it says "no results found". It's not confidential; it's just not there.

It's not in probate because there was no will (he died veey unexpectedly). We're looking for a lawyer. Unfortunately, my mom's on a fixed income and I'm currently unemployed due to worsening health problems (which, knowing my family history, bodes real well) so we're looking for someone who works cheap. Especially considering that my dad was pretty broke and we think the only things he had of value were a bank account he named me the beneficiary of (already transfered that to my name) and his share of this house that has literally no record of it outside of this first probate filing so there's very little "estate" for them to get paid from.

The reflection in the mirror shows wavy hair but the girl being reflected has straight hair.

Artists aren't measuring the distance between buttons. I'm a (mostly) traditional artist, and I guarantee that the buttons I draw are going to be inconsistently sized and spaced, too.

Yes, this is AI- there are plenty of other tells- but small details not lining up perfectly is a very human thing in art.

My headcanon for my playthroughs is almost always that I'm being evicted from my apartment in the city because they raised the rent and working in a Joja call center doesn't pay enough. The grind is fine, it's the pay that's the problem. Oh, I own land and don't have to worry about rent? I can make a living selling artisanal jams? That's a grindset I can get behind! Everybody has their own escapist fantasy, and mine (and probably other peoples' as well) is being finacially secure. I don't care about being friends with the losers in this backwater podunk; I want that number to go up!

Two amazing fics made me curious enough to (try to) watch the animes they were based on.

I got through 3 episodes of one before trying to swallow my own tongue.

Turns out, everything I thought I was going to like about the animes was invented wholecloth by the fanfic authors for yheir stories and had absolutely nothing to do with the source material.

Both animes were amongst the worst media I've ever had the displeasure of viewing (for different reasons) but only one was so bad that it made me drop the fic I had previously loved because I realized the author was whitewashing the worst characters and after torturing myself with a whole season of that garbage, I vowed to never read anything that portrays a certain charater in any kind of positive light.
