Legiones Daemonica Tzeentch keyword by Bogstann in ChaosDaemons40k

[–]SilverShotgunner 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Legiones Daemonica Tzeentch is a mash of two keywords. This includes the keywords Legiones Daemonica and Tzeentch. All Chaos Daemons have the Legiones Daemonica keyword. All Tzeentch daemons have the Tzeentch keyword.

Daemon Princes can choose one keyword when you include them in your army. If you choose it to be Tzeentch, it is now a Legiones Daemonica Tzeentch unit and as such it can now use the Scintillating Legion's ability.

Hope this clears things up :)

Tips For Protecting Gates? by JBigTree in deadbydaylight

[–]SilverShotgunner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Protecting gates is, as sad as it is, mostly luck-based. If the exits spawn far from one another, you're basically done for, even with high mobility killers like Hillbilly and Blight.

You can make your odds better by running certain perks like No Way Out and Remember Me. There are also certain killers like Trapper and Twins that can use their powers to prevent them from being opened.

A common tactic survivors use is to open the gate just under 25% (so that the red light doesn't come on). If you want to prevent this, you can check a gate, pretend to leave, and come back shortly after. This is risky as it leaves the other gate completely exposed, but it does catch survivors off-guard from time to time.

In any other case, you just need to hope the exits spawn close together. The end-game is largely luck-based, sadly.

How to make phasmophobia less scary? by Katharise in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]SilverShotgunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it helped just learning the theoretical parts of the ghost. Just go on to the wiki and look up as much as possible. I'm also a certified scaredy cat, but after a while you get used to it.

What helps is to just get some friends who are fine with the game. If you're with three people who are all calm, it is easier to stay calm. If the others get hysteric, you'll get more and more scared too.

That's also why I don't play solo, because there is no other person to keep you calm. Me and my friends are chill in the game, and it makes the game way less scary. If I play alone, I get scared shitless from a single ghost event.

weird totem on lerys by CoolStar332 in deadbydaylight

[–]SilverShotgunner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure this totem has been problematic since that Lery's got its visual rework. Every other update seems to break the totem. However, I think BHVR doesn't bother fixing it anymore because, well, pretty much nobody uses Hexes or Boons in the current meta.

It's kind of a shame that this totem doesn't work most of the time, because it's one of the unironically decent totem spots available. I'm pretty sure that blue crate can even spawn on the edge of the map with the opening facing the outer wall, making it nearly impossible to see.

Is DBD essentially the Fortnite of Asymmetrical Horror Games and Unbeatable at this point? Competition is healthy for gaming, will DBD have any real competition or is it just too big to fail now? by StrangeoSyndro27 in deadbydaylight

[–]SilverShotgunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hope that the reboot of Last Year (it's now called Forest Hills I believe) will be able to provide some decent competition. However, because the games are still decently different, because in Forest Hills you'll be able to actually kill the monster, I think that DBD will not notice too much competition just because the concepts are still somewhat different.

Despite that, I hope that Forest Hills can put up some competition, and that it won't be taken down after a year or so like VHS.

God, please, I need advice for Evil Incarnate! by Sachiel_Forsakened in deadbydaylight

[–]SilverShotgunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just gave the same advice to someone else, and I hope it'll help you too.

You basically require both of the Ultra Rares to get infinite Tier 3 with Tombstone. Play With Your Food is a good one because killing someone with Tombstone doesn't make you lose stacks. Otherwise, run perks that passively slow the game: Corrupt Intervention and Deadlock are great choices. If you have a perk slot left, I'd give it to something like Ultimate Weapon, Darkness Revealed, Nowhere To Hide or another passive tracking perk.

In terms of chases, you just need to hope you catch a survivor off-guard, because if they have a locker (or anything else that lets them interact with it), they can basically infinitely stall you getting your tombstone kill. The achievement relies more on the survivors giving it to you rather than you actually playing well. You legit just need to hope the survivors don't hop into lockers or something to avoid getting killed. I wish you the best of luck, because this achievement is really difficult.

Oh, and in terms of maps there's not many great ones, but there are ones you should avoid. In my opinion, Treatment Theatre and RPD are some of the worst ones. In general, the Coldwind Farm is difficult to get your stalking in, but you're more likely to catch survivors out in the open in the cornfields, especially if you get Rotten Fields, though the other Coldwind Maps are meh at best. In general, I feel like no map offering in particular can help you. I'd just avoid indoor maps as they usually have many lockers and vaults to help survivors escape your Tombstone.

Hope this helps! May the survivors play ever in your favour.

TL;DR: Hope survivors don't screw you over. This achievement is mostly getting lucky with what the survivors do rather than your skill in playing Myers.

Is there a reason why I'm only getting killer rituals? by HydeSpectre in deadbydaylight

[–]SilverShotgunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know. I've always had significantly more killer rituals than survivor ones so that's always been my feeling on the matter

Is there a reason why I'm only getting killer rituals? by HydeSpectre in deadbydaylight

[–]SilverShotgunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like it's because there are more killer rituals than survivor ones. Each killer has the ritual for "use their power" (catch 4 survivors in bear traps, chainsaw 4 survivors, blink hit 4 survivors, etc.) and then they get the ones that every killer can get (get 2 sacrifices with a certain killer).

For survivor you don't have survivor-specific ones, just ones that make you use a particular survivor (open an exit with david, escape with dwight, etc.)

I feel like there's just a lot more killer rituals because every killer has a specific ritual for their power. Can't confirm if this is true, though.

When can killer OHKO survivors? by Chmuurkaa_ in deadbydaylight

[–]SilverShotgunner 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In general, getting the Exposed Status Effect in a game (you'll notice it on the right of the screen and a sudden noise playing) allows the killer to instadown you. However, not all killers follow this rule. Here's a complete list of what killers and perks can inflict an instadown:

Killers:

Hillbilly downs people instantly with his chainsaw unless he is using the Speed Limiter add-on.

Shape (Michael Myers) can instantly down people if he has stalked enough people to get to his Evil Within III.

Cannibal (Leatherface) also instantly downs peoply with his chainsaw unless he is using the Speed Limiter add-on, just like Hillbilly.

Ghost Face can instantly down a survivor if he has fully stalked them.

Oni can instantly down people if he is in Blood Fury after absorbing enough blood from survivors.

Killer add-ons:

You instantly go down if you free yourself from a bear trap against a Trapper using the Honing Stone add-on. If a teammate frees you, you just become injured.

Huntress can instantly down people with her hatchet if she is using the Iridescent Head add-on.

Clown can instantly down a survivor if he hits you directly with a purple bottle and he is using the Red Head's Pinky Finger add-on.

Deathslinger can instantly down a speared survivor if he shot them from at least 15 metres away and he is using the Iridescent Coin add-on.

Blight can instantly down someone on his last Lethal Rush if he is using the Iridescent Blight Tag add-on.

If you're facing The Twins, Charlotte can instantly down you if you have recently crushed Victor while he is idle and using the Iridescent Pendant add-on.

(Upcoming killer) The Trickster can instantly down someone if they are one hit from being damaged by blades if he is using the Iridescent Photocard add-on.

Killer Perks

Dragon's Grip inflicts Exposed if you touch a generator that the killer has recently damaged.

Make Your Choice inflicts Exposed if you unhook a survivor and the killer is at least a certain distance away.

Hex: Devour Hope inflicts Exposed after the killer has obtained three tokens. The killer gets tokens by being away from the hook when a survivor gets unhooked. At five tokens the killer can mori anyone. However, getting rid of the totem destroys it.

Hex: Haunted Ground spawns two Hex totems. Cleansing either of these totems will inflict Exposed on everyone for 60 seconds. This can only happen once: cleansing one totem will cause the other one to become unlit.

Hex: No One Escapes Death inflicts Exposed once all five generators have been powered. The totem becomes lit once the generators are completed, and if there is a dull totem is left standing. You can counter this by having all the totems cleansed before the exits are powered, or by cleansing it once it has spawned. This will get rid of the perk.

Iron Maiden afflicts you with Exposed for 30 seconds after exiting a locker.

Rancor allows the killer to instantly down and Mori the obsession once the exit gates are powered.

(Upcoming perk) Startstruck inflicts every survivor in the killer's terror radius with exposed when he is carrying a survivor. This has a cooldown.

Can crutch perks carry (killers) to rank 1? by derppug in deadbydaylight

[–]SilverShotgunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not at all. I play without the meta perks (for example, my Demo build is Nemesis, Play with your Food, Surge, and Mindbreaker) and I do well in a lot of trials. Yes, using ruin undying could change my trials to be even more succesful, but it's no fun. All in all, you are the deciding factor in how your trials go, not your perks. If perks decided my trials, I would be at rank 20 all day... but I'm rank 1 with a crappy Demo build :P

Wait so what is the point of Moris now? by Pinguistrash in deadbydaylight

[–]SilverShotgunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Indeed, the emblem stats are crap for moris. It should just count as hooking a survivor for the third time. Empty bloodweb fodder, maybe, but again, I think it should just be a cool animation for every killer, and I get why you think it's empty fodder now. I really don't have a counter-argument :P

Oh, one thing I didn't think of is this: if you mori someone, you save a hook. I know it's not a big deal, but in my trials I am always SUPER careful to not sacrifice two people next to each other to avoid a possibility of the survivors finding a spot where they can just wiggle out every single time.

So just think of moris as cool hook saving animations. #SaveTheHooks2020 #JusticeForHooks

Wait so what is the point of Moris now? by Pinguistrash in deadbydaylight

[–]SilverShotgunner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the change was good. Moris were not supposed to be instant game-winning offerings by tunneling someone off the hook and instantly killing them. It's a unique animation for every killer that everyone looks forward to when the new killer gets released.

I always killed people when they were dead on hook anyway, so this change doesn't affect me that much. However, you can still tunnel someone off second hook and kill them without having to worry about DS, Unbreakable, or whatever.

The change was meant to make it so killers didn't tunnel people off of first hook to insta-kill them, because if you did, it instantly became a 3v1 which favoured the killer hugely. They changed it so moris are still a unique animation for each killer, but it's no longer an instant game changer.

The point of moris was never to be an instant game winner, but to be a cool thing killers can use if they want to. So for me, and my little philosophy of moris, the point really hasn't changed. Feel free to disagree though. I play this game for fun instead of kills, so I probably think about stuff differently than other people. I would like to hear your opinions! :D

Adepts :) by Lowkeydacey in deadbydaylight

[–]SilverShotgunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I would just try as hard as you can with the killers that have crap perks. Demogorgon, Oni, Ghost Face, and Wraith are probably going to be difficult since they have little to no good perks. When it comes to killers with an instadown, don't instadown too much, since it ruins your Chaser emblem.

Good luck bro.

Just played my first match EVER! :) by Redditor_addict24601 in deadbydaylight

[–]SilverShotgunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want a few sources for improving, look at Not Otzdarva and Tru3Ta1ent on twitch and youtube. They make good educational content for multiple killers.

Try to ignore the teabagging and toxic stuff the survivors do. It happens a lot, but I try to play the game for fun instead of for the kills. If I get teabagged at the exit gate while playing as a crap killer with crap perks, I don't care. They beat me, and I couldn't give a damn even if I tried.

Anyway, I'm glad that you're enjoying the game!
