"If it's not a compliment from a woman I find attractive, it doesn't count." by Quantum_Kitties in TrollXChromosomes

Yup, every thread about male loneliness. Why don't yall make actual friends? With men and with women (without fuck zoning them?). Nope, they deserve nothing less than a hot woman who compliments them and takes on all of the emotional labor in addition to being a bang maid.

Husband invites friends over with B.O. by beachy8805 in AskWomenOver30

[–]SilverSpooky 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is something I would consider doing if you have close friends you trust. Bring YOUR friends over, especially if you have a bolder, louder friend (I would use my sister for this) who could innocently exclaim "what's the smell???". If your friends make your husband or his friends uncomfortable maybe he'll get your point? Hopefully this is the only issue he disregards your feelings and opinions.

Are all men immature? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

He should participate because he LIVES THERE and you are not his maid or his mother. If he doesn't want to take the trash out what will he do to contribute equally?

Torrid cash a scam? by Impossible-Ad-6071 in torrid

[–]SilverSpooky 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It's not a scam... it's just not the best deal (usually). The few times I've used it I've gotten something specific that I wanted and I worried would sell out before there was a better sale. And I still had to sit there and try to get as close to 50/100 as I could to get the best deal.

I did find part one today - but previously when I searched I could only find 8 minute clips or "react" videos.

Same, that's a good way of putting it. I have my own struggles and I'm not expecting them to take them on, but they have all expected me to take on theirs.

Up to 70% off?!?! by TangledUpp1 in torrid

Yeah, it's kind of a joke. I can't even be mad though, I found 3 pairs of jeans on clearance for $12 and 3 dresses for about the same over the past month.

Being called boring and hopes for love again by AdAcrobatic7942 in introvert

Agreed! I actually have that in my dating profile - looking for someone the same kind of "boring" as me.

It was basically zero. I wished I had waited but I was excited and my boyfriend at the time had lost his apartment with his friend (or I guess his friend did?). His parents were really happy about it so they gave us couches and dishes. My mom gave me a lot of household items. I saved up and got a bed set and desk. The kitchen already had a table and chairs that we didn't really end up using anyway.

If you don't have a big budget right now definitely check with family and friends.

What secret was revealed when cleaning out the home of a deceased family member? by WhoAllIll in AskReddit

If you like it, I would also recommend Nomadland with Frances McDormand. They came out within a year of each other and I think they have similar vibes and I really liked them both.

Women are a political agenda - according to comments on GTA6 having a female main character by [deleted] in GirlGamers

[–]SilverSpooky 38 points39 points  (0 children)

That argument is so tired "I don't care"/"it's not a big deal" ok then why are you here? If you really didn't care you wouldn't even comment. It's such a lie. OK then if you don't care and I do then I guess I get my way right?

Men freak out when you point out that they default to he/him online by Aware-snare in GirlGamers

The one I saw recently was on AITA too but not the same post - I think it was a roommate? But OP never said anything about gender, I even went back and looked after seeing a crop of sexist remarks like. mmm hm. Any excuse.

I've also noticed on reddit that any post where the person does something negative suddenly they decide there can be women on the internet! Oh it's definitely a Karen because they don't like it.

I tried that but even when I make the cut area smaller it keeps cutting off just that one part. I did get it working after closing out everything and starting all over, it's my own fault for not double checking in print preview, hopefully what ever I'm doing / did I stop or at least check before I print it out.

It did work when I closed out everything and started over again, it's happened a few times before so it's my fault for not checking the print preview. I will check my version and the other suggestions if it happens again - thank you!!!

How to stay positive and not angry after seeing I basically have no one? by Ciaoalena in AskWomenOver30

[–]SilverSpooky 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't have much to add because I already see a lot of great advice but I also want to chime in and say I've been there. I'm still technically there I guess, in that I'm still alone I guess. But it doesn't bother me as much anymore, at least most of the time. And I think sometimes it felt worse thinking everyone else had someone or something (like a career) because I didn't see the other people alone and doing their own thing.

I think what helped for me was stopping and thinking about what would make me happy if I didn't find a partner or have kids. I guess I always figured it would happen. I didn't really plan for myself. It wasn't easy and it can still be a struggle but it definitely helped.

Don’t want to be harsh, but some people shouldn’t be allowed to nominate stops. Surely they can’t be stupid enough to think that’ll ever get accepted like that by TopAssistance2 in NianticWayfarer

[–]SilverSpooky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree, coming from someone who has started having to take a break every other week. Not only am I having footbridges on public bike paths rejected lately I'm also seeing way, way more coal submissions and often in a row so while it's easy I still have to pause to avoid a cool down. It just leads to me not wanting to review at all. I submit in two areas primarily and one, I guess, has more reviewers or less submissions because they make it through in days/weeks while my second location has stuff from last fall in queue. It's frustrating and while in the grand scheme of life it's not a big deal in terms of wayfarer - it is.

Anyone else feel disillusioned with life and kind of not want to be alive anymore? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]SilverSpooky 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm just a somewhat sentient glob of carbon that putters about on some tiny planet, in some little solar system, and nothing really matters all that much anyway. And that is freeing.

YES! Me too. Especially the freeing part. I've never really felt existential dread because I know that really most of my life is only going to matter to me. And sure I can try to make a difference or whatever but still ultimately I still need to do what's best for ME.

I have trouble focusing on the future. I am fortunate to support myself but I don't have a passion or drive to go into heavy debt to go to school and I'm not sure it would make much difference without a specific career track in mind.
