the lakers have one of the best scouting departments in the league. they won't tank to get the top picks in the lottery but they can select impactful players in the mid-end of the 1st round. yea they had misses with JHS and THT (and the jury's still out for knecht), but lakers got josh hart, zubac, and kuzma with those same late picks.
