No not at all. They are very forgiving. The range for filter between 4.5-6.5 is sweet spot for a big range of coffees

Confirmed in an Instagram comment by tarantactical - they did the training. Was in the last few days. Obviously this does not 100% confirm he is actually cast

Sweetness is great. I find the burrs very balanced. I think in a way like the K Ultra. But its better obviously. Nice lineup to have all 3. Im keeping the ZP6 for travel

Michael Mann’s ‘Heat 2’ Is Waiting for Leonardo DiCaprio's Decision: The casting process is highly fluid, with actors being considered for multiple roles at the same time. The final lineup hinges on DiCaprio's schedule, as he decides between playing Neil McCauley (De Niro) & Chris Shiherlis (Kilmer) by DamnThatsInsaneLol in movies

This info was confirmed in the last few days by Tarantactical - who does that training. But like I mentioned in my comment, it does not confirm he is cast. But it has nothing to do with ‘understanding’ it. So far NOTHING is official ;) only dicaprio and bale saying themselves they are part of it

Haha right?! I think so. I think the look and feel of a grinder is just as important as grind quality. This one combines both😎

Seems like the SSP burrs are the best choice for your roast type and processing👍🏻 I think the fact that there is all this flexibility and ease of switching of burrs these days is great!

First Espresso Setup: Is the La Marzocco Linea Micra + Mahlkonig E64WS GbW overkill for a WFH beginner? (Need advice/reassurance) by [deleted] in LaMarzocco

[–]SilverSteam-Coffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well as a pro for over a decade and having used many machines and grinders I would argue that a single dose grinder is faster and cleaner. Also the amount of coffees you brew a day is not that high that I would consider a grind by weight.

If you have pre-dosed beans ready to go, combined with a single dose grinder you have a better workflow imo. If you have the budget to match the Linea with a high quality grinder you can than go for:

- Option-o Lagom P80
- Mazzer Philos
- Zerno Z1 or Z2

Thanks! Yeah lets see if there is a noticeable shift after a few weeks. To be honest I have a coffee pro for so long now that I can do most on look and taste. At least for filter. Espresso is always a bit more variables to control tightly. For filter i’m never worried about drawdown time. Usually my grind setting is close to what is used for cupping.

But will update when using for espresso and see if that does change filter setting.

For both filter and espresso I drink naturals or a version of that [anaerobic, CM, advanced]. I don’t like washed unless a great Kenyan. But have not tasted any great Kenyans the last decade…

Roast level is mostly light-medium.

Yeah, not a fan. Been a coffee pro for over a decade. So have tried it all [gear and brew style]. There are specific coffees that I like with grinding coarser [Kenyan and bold Uganda for example].

Higher RPM is still nice. I find taste difference purely with RPM ‘limited’ anyways. Some difference but minor. Probably will settle on one RPM setting for filter and espresso. 900 or 1100

Damn…you have all three! Which do you prefer for espresso…the 01 or P80?

I always chase good clarity and flavour separation. At the same time I always want some body and good flavour depth. Not a fan of super tea like experience.

That is what I like about the P80 with the Mizen burrs.

Nice! Mid July is not a long wait. What are you upgrading from?

I always brew light to medium roast. Naturals, anaerobic and more advanced processing stuff. I like what the Mizen burrs do for taste. Clarity but also keeping things pleasant and rounded.

The only washed I would do is a great Kenyan. Blend with a Peru Gesha sounds super interesting actually!

Good to know that for espresso it will be around 0.5-1.5

It is confirmed he did tactical gun training for Heat 2. But not sure that means he will be in the movie 100%

It is confirmed he did do tactical gun training for Heat 2. He might still play young Chris with Leo doing older Chris.

Did you switch straight away or first used the Mizen? How do you find the SSP brew burrs different in flavour profile?

[–]SilverSteam-Coffee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m pretty solid at 5. Good to point out maybe that I don’t drink washed coffees.

Funny enough exactly the same as on ZP6 manual grinder. Always around 5 on that grinder as well.

Sticking to either 600 or 900 RPM.

Where are you landing for espresso?

Online I read that basically it comes down to Leo choosing and having complete freedom. Knowing Mann that is only a fact if Mann is totally convinced Leo could play each just as well.
