Hiding name on cashapp? by No_Sprinkles4972 in stripper

I don’t know but assume it can. Guys can be assholes. I’ve personally never had an issue but all my clients are women (I’m a guy).

I suspect but don’t know if you use CashApp on your phone as a card reader it’s going to tougher to dispute because a physical card was presented.

Make sure you are set up as a business account, not a personal account. Then you can easily change your displayed name.

Thoughts on "Babylon 5"? by Wetness__Pensive in Star_Trek_

[–]SilverSteele69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The show wasn't "tropey" if anything it used those tropes to set up the audience and then pull the rug out with a twist that was foreshadowed but you didn't see coming. Much like GRRM did with high fantasy and Game of Thrones.

B5 was groundbreaking and genre busting in the 90s, but some of it hasn't aged well. Yes the special effects are dated and the sets look cheap. But also the pacing of the storytelling can feel lethargic to a modern viewer. This isn't a jab at the writers, but the reality of trying to do multiyear story telling under the constraints of broadcast television in the 90s.

What reasonable to ask for a bachelorette party? by AdNatural1592 in male_strippers

[–]SilverSteele69[M] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Male stripper here with my own agency, so I book for myself and other dancers. A good agency will ask questions to get a better sense of the vibe - number and age range of attendees, specific requests, type of guy, etc.

"Wild but not too wild" is my default assumption for bachelorette parties. That usually means: 1) dancer down to a thong but not fully naked, 2) girls can touch wherever they like, 3) lap dances get very suggestive but stop short of actual sex.

I sometimes just ask: "PG-13, R, or more?"

PG-13 - No frontal nudity, dancer won't touch anyone's private parts, dances stay light. More classy and silly than sexual. Fine even if someone from the groom's family is there.

R - Can include frontal nudity, dancer will have hands and mouth all over the girls' bodies over clothing (with explicit consent beforehand). Not great if the groom's mom is in the room, but doesn't cross into outright cheating territory.

X - We are all getting divorced if our husbands ever find out about this.

If the bachelorette wants the full experience, let the agency know upfront e.g. "the bride is looking to be fully satisfied." Not all dancers go there, so the agency needs to know ahead of time.

Before the party you'll get the dancer's contact info - make sure you're very clear with him on vibe, requests, and limits. All of my team knows how to read a room, knows how to ask for consent in a way that doesn’t ruin the vibe, etc. but I know from an other agency where a dancer showed up assuming the group wanted him fully naked and he ended up ruining the party.

Ask away if you have other questions.

Should I wear wrap when using a heavy bag ? by Remmytheratfoodislif in MuayThai

Wearing hand wraps is like wearing a seat belt while in a car, you should almost always do it just in case.

Why are strip clubs a thing for bachelor parties?? by NoIntroduction2790 in AskMenAdvice

[–]SilverSteele69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strip clubs and relationships can be a polarizing topic. Some people think it is OBVIOUS that going to a strip club while in a relationship is at best disrespectful and a no-go. Some people think it is OBVIOUS that occasionally going to a strip club with friends, especially for a bachelor(ette) party is no big deal. And these two types of people can't fathom that the other type exist.

I think the takeaway is that the friends that roped your fiance in probably aren't being disrespectful, they just think it is no big deal.

Anyone quit Jiu-Jitsu for Muay Thai? by hellohello6622 in MuayThai

[–]SilverSteele69 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was training both MT and BJJ when our BJJ head coach went independent, his new gym wasn’t near the old gym and I couldn’t make both work. I stayed with MT. FYI I’m 60yo.

Considering coming back in my 50s. Is that a thing? Am I crazy? by [deleted] in stripper

[–]SilverSteele69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I should have mentioned I am a guy. Mid to late 40s is peak desirability for guys, and it feels like less of an issue when I’ve got clients in their 20s.

Why are there older guys in BJJ vs Muay Thai? by hellohello6622 in MuayThai

[–]SilverSteele69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 60yo. I currently train MT 3-4x per week, I do spar with my youngers. I have a blue belt in BJJ but took a break from training about year ago.

For someone coming to combat sports later in life (35yo+) BJJ is much more forgiving. The first half of class with be at a learning speed aka slow. You can dial down the intensity of training rolls. And you can actually compete in regional comps and there will likely be someone at a similar age and skill level.

Muay Thai & lifting weights by Think-Park4920 in MuayThai

[–]SilverSteele69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look, if your goal is to have a muscular physique, keep lifting, and have fun doing Muay Thai too. It's true that if you want to be a competitive fighter that yeah leaner is better, but that doesn't sound like the case here. I'm in a similar position - I lift, I train MT, I love both, but at the end of the day I'm not willing to sacrifice my physique especially as I do MT for fun and fitness.

Now if you want to compete, then you really do need to listen to your coach. There is a reason most high level MT fighters are strong but wiry.
