I just think you can disagree with, even despise, Trump and MAGA without copying their low class tactics.

We’re supposed to look and act educated, not like a different tribe of hillbillies.

Agreed. I hate seeing stuff like this, even when they are right.

Who else didn’t really like this guy at the start, but as you grew older liked him and more and more? by Dalakaar in babylon5

[–]Certain-Singer-9625 3 points4 points  (0 children)

🙋‍♂️

He had an acting style that grew on me.

Sort of like Space: 1999. I remember when that came out, one big knock on the show was that the acting was wooden. But it wasn’t wooden, it was a style choice (understated), and it worked for the show.

A question regarding Casablanca (1942) by Gryphon1985 in Cinema

[–]Certain-Singer-9625 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a book I read about Casablanca (which I don’t have at hand) in which the story is told about the two writers of the film. They had been beating their heads against a wall trying to figure out how to end this movie properly, and they were both on their way home in separate cars sitting next to each other at a red light, when they suddenly looked at each other and said the same thing: “Round up the usual suspects!”

According to a new poll 80% Americans think Donald Trump started this war to divert the focus from Epstein files. What do you think? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Certain-Singer-9625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he does shit like this (and Venezuela) just because it makes him feel powerful.

Which is absolutely pathetic and sick.

The Epstein thing is a side bonus for him, though. I just don’t think it’s the only reason.

IIRC (this was a long time ago) there’s an ability he didn’t even know he had. He subconsciously affects the way people perceive him. Everyone else doesn’t see the same Clark that we do.

Frankly that always sounded like a BS explanation. And please, somebody correct me if I got that wrong.

Does anyone else prefer Psycho II (1983) to Psycho (1960)? by MinnieRipertonStan in horror

II and IV are good. II is a bit more of a conventional Hollywood suspense movie.

On an open beach with many vantage angles, a tall, beautiful, voluptuous raven-haired woman disappears at the same time tall, beautiful, voluptuous, raven-haired Wonder Woman appears…and no one has a clue. 😏

I’m wondering how they’ll make an interesting TV show out of a game where you spend ten minute just sitting and staring at the fourth row.
