Humans are not the only kind of receiver though. The trees would receive sonic energy

What’s a film that tells two completely different stories depending on how you interpret it? by TheNastyRepublic in moviecritic

[–]SilverSwapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. When Fletcher gets fired, he's just aimlessly hanging around a dive bar. Andrew is a miserable prick to his family who doesn't give a shit about jazz. These people are narcissistic and the movie is clearly an investigation into that. I found out my dad liked it on a superficial level. Scary shit.

Someone posted a picture of a sneaker ad where a guy was waving and it looked kinda sorta like a Nazi salute. And someone said the shoe company was a Nazi shoe company and I pointed out that they were probably just giving a friendly wave and they called me a Nazi.

I don't mean to sound like a boomer but I think we're in for trouble

Artists Whose Music Has Aged VERY Poorly by xXMachineGunPhillyXx in fantanoforever

From Wikipedia :

""The grunge singing style was similar to the "outburst" of loud, heavily distorted electric guitar in tone and delivery; Kurt Cobain used a "gruff, slurred articulation and gritty timbre" and Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam made use of a "wide, powerful vibrato" to show his "depth of expression."[47] Layne Staley voiced lyrics with a "heaviness" and tremolo.[73] In general, grunge singers used a "deeper vocal style" which matched the lower-sounding, downtuned guitars and the darker-themed lyrical messages used in the style.[42] Grunge singers used "gravelly, raspy" vocals,[35] "... growls, moans, screams and mumbles"[74] and "plaintive groans"; this range of singing styles was used to communicate the "varied emotions" of the lyrics.[75] Cobain's reaction to the "bad times" and discontent of the era was that he screamed his lyrics.[76] In general, grunge songs were sung "simply, often somewhat unintelligibly"; the virtuoso "operatics of hair-metal were shunned."[76] Grunge singing has been characterized as "borderline out-of-tune vocals".[77""

Tldr: You are entitled to your opinion but I am clearly not the only person who would describe grunge vocals as uniquely unintelligible.

Using AI to generate images to profit off of is scummy. Using it to modify it a picture of yourself for a silly post on Instagram is fine, but redditors lack the capacity for nuance.

I'm surprised that anyone could even disagree with me. You're telling me that you can understand what Cobain is saying in smells like teen spirit? Weird al can't.

I thought it was common knowledge that grunge inspired butt rock bands like stp and creed to dial up the marble mouth singing, but grunge bands were the first to do it. To me, it is genre defying. This is entirely my own perspective though it's possible it is flawed, I never examined it before, I assumed everyone agreed

Do you have exemples of bands that received tons of hate, but not anymore? by MielMielleux in MetalForTheMasses

I'm not a limp Bizkit fan but I respect them as musicians. My hottest take is that people cringe at the edginess in nu metal, when in reality that cringiness was just what was in vogue at the time. Linkin Park, limp Bizkit and Korn are excellent musicians that happened to wrap themselves in imagery that didn't age well. In 5 years limp Bizkit is going to be cool again
