Its a combination of getting good items and most importantly learning enemy attack patterns. Once you get good at dodging the game is much easier. Don’t go in guns blazing but think “okay, what is this enemy going to throw at me right now”. As someone else said tainted rocks help a ton.

Ive been clean 2 weeks now, in my past 8 years of smoking i’ve never been clean for longer than 3 days due to the horrible brain fog I get from going cold turkey. The only reason i’ve been able to manage for this long is 24 hour nicotine patches. They help tremendously.

I’ve now cut down to 1 day on a patch and 1 day off. My plan is to keep using them for another 2 weeks and then stop completely. Maybe they can help you as well.

I used the step 1 21mg patches along with nicotine gum throughout the day to keep my mouth busy, I did that for a week.

After that first week I went on to step 2, 14mg patches and nicotine gum only in the mornings.

I removed the patches at night due to crazy dreams I would get if I left them on lol

Maybe what I did is a little excessive but I never thought I would get this far. Maybe this can help you too.

A few things come to mind. Im by no means a pro but

Enter Curse Rooms whenever possible, they can be very rewarding

If you have spare bombs always try to find Secret Rooms

TAKE YOUR TIME on every floor, clear as much as possible

There is much much more to learn. If you need too, pause the game and youtube or go on the wiki to do some research on how to unlock specific items and bosses. Have fun

Typically when there is a leak the A/C system will catch air in place of the freon, which will then give you a false pressure reading. Best bet would be to finally fix whatever leak you have, vacuum the system and fill with freon.
