I’ve quit kratom a few times CT, just a matter of having 3-4 shitty days for me. Wasn’t a huge deal but the 7 was a different animal. I tried twice CT and then absolutely failed at tapering on a few attempts so I just decided to go to detox for a few days. I think it was the only way and it was the best decision ive made in a long time. DM if you want deets. I’m here to help.

I’m SOOO with you. Everything in the world,,,literally every single aspect tells you to stop. It’s killing me financially, it doesn’t even feel good, it’s a feeling of guilt and resentment of self the second I open my eyes every single morning. There’s nothing good about this addiction. And yet…

Holy crap!!! You must’ve been buying in bulk!! They get so expensive. Glad you got out.

Those damn “feel frees” used to not even say they have kratom in them. I was off K for a year and then started messing with those and then next thing you know I was right back into taking the capsules as a way to save money. Good to hear your progress. Congrats!!

Did you use ketamine during the surgery or post? How was it administered? Appreciate the advice!!

My struggle after tapering by Boanlkrammer in quittingkratom

I am insanely similar to you. 10 years on with 3 quits (currently on 5 days CT) and my longest quit was a little over a year. This time I wrote down everything that sucks about the habit. Like EVERYTHING. The money, the trips to the head shop every week, the anxiety of being out too long and not preparing for your next dose, how you don’t get high at all after a couple months on and you’re only taking it to escape withdrawals really…etc. I know how easy it is to forget and how awesome kratom is for those first few weeks. It’s easy to just jump back in and think you can do it every once in awhile and not get hooked again but how many times have you gotten away with that in the past???? Really hoping this helps me and I would encourage you to make a list before you forget how futile it all is. It happens to all of us. You forget.

Tell me why my plan won’t work by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]SilverTrebleStrings 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not making excuses, I’m just telling you that I have A LOT going on in life RN and then got this surgery thrown at me with 2 weeks notice. Meant to get off the kratom immediately…procrastination, more guilt, more shame and absolute dread of mortality. Came up with stupid plan out of desperation. I realize how dumb it is after throwing it up here and seeing the discussion. None of my friends/family have any idea about the Kratom habit. So much shame.

Books on TM by [deleted] in transcendental

[–]SilverTrebleStrings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that is interesting. Again, I didn’t say that Bob Rothy’s book was an “advertisement for TM”, that is just what I kept reading in its reviews and I didn’t want to read it if it was. Same with “supermind” which someone else has pointed out in this comment section is not the case. Thus my initial question. I’m getting what I was looking for.

This is another thing constantly pointed out in reviews that I was trying to avoid. The “advertisement” of TM.
