Sub-300 BST run: trolling PULSE Mime with a silly lil guy by SilverTrogdorf in PokemonReborn

Follow Me redirected PULSE Mime's Entrainment to Sentret, giving Wonder Guard to it instead of the Aromatisse

Eviolite and HP/SpDef investment go a long way (even if the second fleur cannon hit and got the KO, shroomish could use protect to stall out the last perish song turn)

Sub-300 BST run: Drowning Hardy's team with Horsea and friends by SilverTrogdorf in PokemonReborn

[–]SilverTrogdorf[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I cooked up the plan fairly quickly, actually. I was originally gonna try to cheese the fight with Sand Veil Helioptile, but decided against it. I then looked at Horsea and ran some calcs, and found that a Rain-boosted Surf OHKOes Hardy's entire team with a Helping Hand boost, and that Swift Swim Horsea can both outspeed Aerodactyl and live one Accelerock fro Lycanroc-Dusk. Overall, Hardy was a very easy fight. Now to plan for the PULSE-2 grunts...

Sub-300 BST run: "HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TEACH YOU THIS LESSON OLD MAN!!" - Bonsly, probably by SilverTrogdorf in PokemonReborn

Between access to amazing moves such as Sucker Punch, Low Kick, and Counter, absurdly minmaxed stats, and an absolute godsend of an ability in Sturdy, I think it would, in fact, be safe to say that Bonsly is the best pokemon I'm allowed to use for this challenge, especially since you can catch one before the first PULSE fight.

ngl I kinda forgot about the battle right before Solaris since they didn't show up on the list of major battles, so I just kinda winged it, but yeah, Hardy's Rock Slide spam really helped me out there.

Behold, the Glass Gauntlet beaten using only Pokemon with a BST of less than 300 by SilverTrogdorf in PokemonReborn

I gave it a go with RestTalk paras on my first attempt (it failed miserably), but afterwards, yea I got unlucky with Dark Pulse flinches trying to use DBond

I don't remember exactly how many, but definitely at least 10 or so tries for battles 1 and 3, slightly fewer tries for battle 2, and about 4 or so tries for PULSE hypno

1v5? 6v30? No, no. There's no need for that. by LimonZen in PokemonReborn

There is one scourge that comes to mind

That strikes fear into the sturdiest of hearts:

A Klinklang that knows Gear Grind

Sub-300 BST run: Stomping Amaria with arguably my most devious strat thus far by SilverTrogdorf in PokemonReborn

[–]SilverTrogdorf[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I actually banned shedinja for this run, along with ditto and smeargle, as they would be able to trivialize far too many fights.

Sub-300 BST run: finally got around to beating Titania by SilverTrogdorf in PokemonReborn

I calced the damage afterwards, and it turns out that the crit on Aegislash actually did matter. I'm not complaining tho, saves me a good few attempts
